Applying Stuff To Black Trim

Black Trim run next to painted areas. How do you apply stuff to it when they are so close? Do you just be really really careful applying it? Or its ok to get a tiny bit on the paint? Whats the trick? I think direct spray and wipe should be out of option.

....some products are easier to wipe off than others. For example, a product like Black Wow can be a bit of pita to completely remove from glass and paint so extra care should be taken. On the other hand, something like 303 can be wiped up relatively easily. Using an appropriate applicator for the task can also help. I usually do it free-hand and then if necessary, follow up any minor smearing with an MF dampened with QD.

Do you usually do the wax/sealant first or the 303?

....I typically apply protectant/sealant to the trim on my vehicles every other wash or so (before QD'ing if I even do). When polishing/waxing, the trim bits that I might use 303 on (that I don’t use a sealant on) are typically done after applying the LSP or during down-time as the product cures/dries (if layering). ....it really depends. I'm just a DIY'er/enthusiast so I don’t adhere to a strict regimen. In the end, you need to find a routine that works best for you.

I use those little foam paintbrushes to apply plastic dressing. They're cheap and work great.

+1 got a pack of 10-12 of them from a wood working shop for about 3 dollars. They're reusable so not a bad price. I typically use them with 303 and the OP said it cleans up easily if you get any on the glass or paint.
