Applying Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845

I don't think Collinite really mutes flake all that much. It seems to give metallics a "sparkling" look (IME), because the color is darkened but the flake still shines through, giving a very nice look.

I was able to wax a Range Rover (applying, removing, not counting dry time) in about 20-25 minutes when I applied it with my PC and a finishing pad. Really goes on easy when done via machine. :)

I found 845 to apply *Ridiculously* easily with my Cyclo. For whatever reason, I found it applies much thinner with the two orbital heads vs. the one of the PC. For tight or small spots, apply by hand. I like MF applicators for hand use, but foamies work just as well. Good luck!

I was looking to see if you had responded as if you hadn't, I was going to. Where'd you learn that little application tip Craig??:D;)

Fine fine....I wanted to give credit to Spoiledman for 845 via cyclo technique.....However, *I* perfected it...:nana: :D

Put on a coat of Collinite 476 by hand with a foam applicator on the wife's Mopar (Emerald Green Metal Flake). While the car is not one I detail nearly as often as my own, it did not IMHO dull the flakes at all. I used it more for protection, and was expecting a so - so shine with minimal depth, and when all was said & done, I favorably impressed. Went on very easy & came off with a MF Towel very easy as well.

SpoiledMan & RCBuddha- For some reason I find that all my LSPs seem to work better via Cyclo (as compared to the PC, KAIO not considered) :nixweiss

Islander- Glad to hear the 476S looks good on your wife's MOPAR. I was just thinking again yesterday how much it muted the paint on my Yukon...it did the same on my wife's (silver) Audi. Much as I like (and recommend) that wax, there's no getting around how mediocre it looks on certain paints. Sure glad it doesn't look that way on all that *many* finishes.
