Prowax W-41, this is prowax's paste carnauba wax. It says its a non-cleaning wax that can be layered.

Link to info http://www.prowax.com/1prod_bulls/w41pb.html

at $13.80 for a 14 oz. can it seems reasonable.....

My question is, has anyone tried this wax? If so how does it compare with Blitz, Meguiars #26, Mother California Gold?? In terms of shine, depth, durability, and ease of application?

thanks,
Jason

I used it with ease and very good results on my first car a 94 black Honda Civic coupe. I like it better than #26 and Mothers CA gold but have never used Blitz not yet anyways.

I'll probably add it to my collection of product in late spring/early summer. If there is a local distributer near me, I'll pay them a visist and see if they have any, don't want to pay the shipping costs..

Thanks again,

Jason

I bought mine at the Honda dealership on advise given to me by a bodyshop guy i knew, but went there not to long ago and they did not carry it anymore.

If you are looking for a generic carnuba wax that gives good results try out WET WAX from automagic or some of ones from topoftheline products. Easy to use, cheap in gallon lots (20-30 bucks), or half gallon lots, and nice shine. None of these are that durable though........

Well everything went very well with the coating and I had no issues at all. Thanks Richy and Avi for answering my questions. I had to get creative with washing as I don't have running water or a drain. With the help of a 2gal garden sprayer, 5gal bucket to fill it, and a wet vac, I was able to do a good Dawn and APC wash. I followed that up with 2 IPA wipe downs. Can't wait to see how it hold up and compares to OC.

Sorry I didn't take a lot of pics. I did have to wet sand the front fender as it was repainted and the texture (orange peel) was way off from the rest of the car.

Headlight were pitted so I sanded them with 800/1000/1500/3000

I found the application to be very easy and the supplied foam block and MF sued towels work well, though they don't do the best with very contoured surfaces. The smell of the product was very strong and having a well ventilated space would be advised.

Cheers,
Rasky

Looks awesome! NBP is such an interesting color.

Those RLs are so much more attractive than the hideous new ones. They seem to be a good deal on the used car market too.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan on the new styling of the new Acura's either. I like the looks of this car and it has every bell and whistle you can think of. It's heavy and has a soft ride, but still has some decent power and is a blast in the snow! :)

Looks really nice Rasky!

Im glad you have forgiven your wife and are detailing her vehicle again. I hope she gave you some extra appreciation for all your hard work!

I may have gotten a little lovin' out of the deal.... ;)

I didn't clean the inside though....which is still trashed. If she actually removes all the articles (crap) from inside the car I may offer to clean it. I really wanted to get this coating on though as it's supposed to help resist marring. :)

I bet that CQuartz does more to repel the crap on the roads.. hhmmm.. can you use in on the interior to repel the other crap?? :-B

CQuartz is available to anyone as far as I know.

Those are M105/M205 bottles..... :D

Got the same ones, Megs is really slacking these days, they forgot to put labels on mine too!

Oh yea and the Acura looks just okay Chad....

excellent work as usual :soldier:

I will be waiting to see how it holds up as well. That is a great color. I had an Integra with a similar color.
Honda of course makes a great car but the last few years I have been pretty disappointed. Very strange styling. Still waiting for the RWD with the big engine or the return of the NSX.

The car looks great.
