What do you all use for product application?

I was using Foam hand pads (small yellow discs) but then started reading that the melted edges on the disc could harm your paint. And people were cutting them off. But then I asked a few veterans and they claim they've never seen this on wax pads.

Then I got to thinking about MF Applicators, or some Cotton Terry apps.

All I'm using this stuff for is Zaino. But the last few pads I used are discolored now (it looks dark like dirt) so I'm guessing I should toss those and looking for alternatives.

Microfiber for Klasse SG. The only product I use MF apps for.

Everything else is foam. I have never had a problem with those melted edges actually touching the paint. I cut the edges off just to reduce some area that the applicator can absorb wax.

I use Terry for tire dressing, vinyl dressing, and leather conditioner.

Polishing pad on the PC for Meguiar's #9 2.0

Polishing pad on the PC for AIO

Finishing pad on the PC for Platinum UPP

Foam pad for areas that the PC doesn't get into easily

Old terry towels for 303 on vinyl, another terry towel for 303 on tires

Platinum leather conditioner with fingers, seems like I can massage it into the leather better that way

When applying by hand, I use the Viking grey foam "doorknob" applicator . . .

Tort

Just started using one of those not long ago. It doesn't slip out of your hand as easily as the small pads. I had thought the larger size might create some problems, but so far it really hasn't. Seems to work good. When the S100 gets down in the jar, it may require some thinking to continue to use the Viking, though.

Welp I stopped by my local Autozone and Advance Auto to pick up some Foam wax pads, and neither place had any :( They both carry the viking discs with cotton over them...

I guess I'll have to get 'em online

Foam for everything except when applying Z by machine...in which case I use an MF bonnet lined on the inside with saran wrap (saves product...some other autopian posted this method). Coats go on real thin, hardly any waste in product & the bonnets are easier to clean than foam pads.

Mindflux, do you have a Pep Boys down there? That's where I get mine...!

Wal*Mart carries Meguiar's foam pads in our area. Probably would have them in your area as well.

The last bunch I got at Pep Boys are in little individual wrappers that say Turtle Wax - but they are the same round foam applicators they sell everywhere else.

Yeah I know I can just go to Wal-Mart and pick them up.. I just wish I could find them on the internet with reasonable shipping costs.

TOL has 'em for 50c a pad, but then you pay 7 dollars for shipping. Even if I ordered 24, that's 12 bux + 7 shipping = 19 that's 1.26 a pad. Hardly worth it.

Off to Pep Boys or Wal-Mart I go :D
