APC for tires & wheels

what would you recommend for a good APC in the gallon size , that would be safe for CC wheels and tires. :inspector:

something i could transfer in a spray bottle and apply.

BLACKFIRE All In One APC is great on wheels and tires and will work great even when diluted up to 4:1, particularly on brown rubber.

Optimum Power Clean is another fantastic APC, and one of the staples in the industry for its ability to clean most surfaces safely (and thoroughly). My experience is that BLACKFIRE is slightly stronger and requires less dilution.

Meguiars APC + is a value you leader. It is not as strong at wheel and tire cleaning as the other two but it is available at a really good price and is much better than store bought APC's that could damage or ruin automotive parts.

With so many of them on the car care market, I always use Megs APC and had luck but be very careful with these products on CC rims. IMO stay with a good cleaner for that job.

Megs APC at 4:1

occasionally I'll go with Amazing Roll Off from time to time if i think I need it

really dirty wheels might require something stronger like Brown Royal or Megs Wheel Brightener

For really nasty tires I will use Amazing Roll Off. But I tend to think it is a little to strong for normal wheel use.

I usually just use some Megs APC (Green) at various dilutions based on the need. Usually I use 4:1 or 10:1.

I have been contemplating which APC would be safe for CC rims, do you think the meg APC at a 4:1 would be safe on the painted cc rims?

I need to try Blackfire APC. Sometimes I use Optimum Power Clean on lightly soiled wheels but not too often. Soap and water works for the most part in these situations.

Yes, particularly if they are pre-rinsed and already wet. I love Meguiar's APC and it does do a good job on wheels and tires. Both BLACKFIRE and Optimum will be just as safe and more effective for wheels and brake dust though.

Thanks you for answering the right answer, I should have asked the right question, whats the safe and "effective cleaner" on CC rims. Sigh the cart just keeps getting fuller!:bigups

I would recommend Meguiar's APC+ on this task.
It is slightly stronger than APC due to the degreaser content of APC+ so it is suitable for cleaning wheels and tires.

For tires AND wheels ARO for the win! I dont like using APC on wheels all the time. OPT never impressed me and I havent tried the BF APC yet.

If you are looking for an affordable product that works well on wheels and tires, give Mothers All Wheel a try. This product continues to impress me on all but the worst cases.

APC+ at 4-1 always performs well for my needs.

I've never had any success with ARO. None! The dirt does not roll off as advertised. Sorry.

I use the Mother's brush. But it's nice to witness the sludge of old dressing oozing off and running down the drain when rinsed. That doesn't happen with ARO. At least not for me.

Same here but I find my cleaning is more related to dried dressing and tire brown than just dirt. Since tires vary in browning etc, I am wondering of the variable is the tire and what needs to be removed in regards to ARO performance.
