I am considering putting some meguiars NXT over Zaino Z2 on my silver M3....the Z2 looks great, but it does not give the "WOW" I was hoping for...........I want the car looking good in a few days for the chrissy trip to see the relatives...the first time they have seen the M3, so not much time to experiment so I was hoping to hear from anyone who can tell me what the results woould be like form experience.

Will the NXT wax be worth the effort, or should I be satisfied with the very shiny Zaino ?

What is your prep UNDER Zaino?

I find that polishing "correctly" produces the most noticeable surface appearance improvement. If you just clayed, then Zaino; I would go back, strip it, and at least use Z-PC or another polish before reapplying Zaino.

Polished with Menzerna PO85RD, then Zaino Z5 x 3. I'm not sure how much more "wow" you can get.

Agreed, you can top with whatever product you like but as many have said over and over again....... prep is the key. BTW gotta love 85RD on a metallic surface it kicks ***

I have never topped Zaino with a carnauba because once you do, you're through with adding layers of Zaino for a while, IMO, and that's half the fun of Zaino.

I agree with the Z8. Z8 over Z2Pro is awesome.

Thats get one thing clear here. If you top Zaino with anything other than Zaino you will degrade the Zaino layer below. Carnaubas have high contents of solvents, the worst topper for Zaino. Now, anything on top of Zaino will look good initially but will screw up the molecular layer of Zaino. So, if you polish out your car quite often and and use the topper approach , then I'm sure all is fine for you. But if your depending upon Zaino durability below.......Forget about it!!

Silicones, solvents and oils are Zaino killers, below and above applications! Thats just the chemistry of Zaino.

This is straight from the source!! :xyxthumbs

Sorry for the OT, but would you guys start with Z5if you have swirls, then go z2 pro layered, then z8?

If you layer Z5, would you layer Z2?
