Anyone using Garry Dean`s products

Gotta` cash in while the market is hot for the buzz word.

sounds like us detailers now have better understanding these company are just mixing in graphene powder. I would love to see someone test mixing graphene into BSD or specifically reload cause it has silicone or mothers CMX. I would like to tinker with it myself

Well, at least I got to see a NexGen ad--13% Silicon Dioxide!

Had a good laugh at your comment I was impressed with his Facebook group if you join you could only speak about his products and his wash method. I imagine the minute you speak about another product you are shown the exit.

I will eventually try one of his products because this guy did not us his YouTube popularity to push or create a product line. The little bits of information I have read about his seems like he was a detailer first then worked with a chemist to create a product line. I do think that he probably has worked extremely hard to get to where he is at so one day I will have to try his products

It’s affirmative he is in the graphene game he calls it trifecta or something https://youtu.be/7QFQleV1iG4

Heads Garry Dean thinks graphene is useful, Tails he thinks it`s just the latest buzzword and when he flipped the coin it stood on it`s edge? I really didn`t discern his actual view on it one way or the other. The "3 Australian Scientists..." thing was a new angle though. Seems to have some validity on the surface as far as production but still doesn`t answer the question of graphene effectiveness in coatings: https://www.pv-magazine.com/2019/06...esize-graphene-from-abundant-eucalyptus-bark/

Perhaps the next tagline will be "Billy Bobs Ultimate Epic Atomic Graphene Coating With Eucalyptus-Derived Graphene for Both Paint Protection and a Healthy Body"; that`s gonna need a big label.

That product title will make one heck-of-an acronym: BBUEAGCWEDGfBPPaaHB or we could just call it KOALACRAP.
(No offense to the Aussie`s or the native animals, though!)

Would make a nice 50/50 comparison: Atomic Graphene vs Eucalyptus Graphene

Just a quick "me too". I use IUDJ. I keep a spray bottle with the minimal dilution - 2 capfulls per pint? - and spray it on anything that needs cleaning if I`m being too lazy to wash it in some proper manner.

Good for bug splats and bird poop. For bird poop, I soak the spot, cover with a heavy duty shop paper towel, soak again. Let sit. Then carefully try to blot it up with the wet towel. More IUDJ, and a clean paper towel to finish up.

But I`ll have to mention this: It`s my absolute go-to for windshields. Spray on, wipe dry with a small microfiber towel. Absolutely no streaks. Just perfectly clean glass. And quicker than most other methods.

Hans.

Thanks for the info I use ONR like that once in a while is IDJ like ONR

The guys got a lot of products. I actually see he puts his cell phone number out there on the internet where you can text him directly if you had questions or issues using his products. I’m gonna watch his site an once there is a sale I’ll probably grab something to try I have too many versions of waterless/rinseless/normal car washes I’ll have to get something else

I always liked Clearkote Quik Shine for windshields...too bad they are gone...I think...time to start a thread on that...

I`m always utterly astounded that people can use RW/etc. (let alone QuikShine!) on glass without any issues!

I mix my IUDJ/etc. with distilled water. Using it on glass leaves issues that I have to clean off with a Glass Cleaner.

When I used Quik Shine, if I got any on the glass I had to clean it off.

Every. Single. Time. No matter how well it seemed to go, in some lighting conditions I`d see [artifacts] that weren`t acceptable. I simply don`t get it...

Yeah, you have a point, maybe I`m going senile. I just remember some cool evenings trying to get windshields clean and that QuikShine I was able to buff it dry without leaving that residue you`re talking about. Maybe I`m not remembering things correctly.

Hey, if it works for people I`m genuinely glad for them...along with being envious :D I can imagine plenty of variables that might factor in...including the plain ol` "some people can do things that never work out for me" (and, heh heh, vice-versa ;) ).

Hmmm.... I wonder if it`s because I`m using a very diluted IUDJ mix. Like just a couple of teaspoons in a pint of water. And my windshield is waxed, but I suppose most of you here have some sort of coating or wax on the glass also.

I`m not one to watch detailing videos, but this guy knew how to make it interesting. When he started charging I quit watching. Glad to hear he`s still in business. Would love to watch a recent video to see if he still "has it".
