Anyone used Feynlab Prime?

Not a single review to be found on Google. One 14 minute video on YT, but it`s in a language I don`t speak - naturally. I`ve seen a few people here say good things about Feynlab. This is on their web site.

The name is born from its function. PRIME fills in the micro voids of the paint structure with nano particles for an enhahced surface for coatings to adhere to. This increased surface area and chemical bonding allows all FEYNLAB® coatings unrivaled adhesion to the painted surface. The result is optimal ceramic nano coating durability and performance.
Product Benefits:

  • True nano technology formula allows deep cleansing within the paint’s pores.
  • Prime lays down base chemistry within the porous paint structure, enhancing the bonding of ceramic coatings.
  • FEYNLAB’s™ true nano technology and bonding chemistry allows for an unparalleled level of protection since the formula penetrates further into the existing paint structure than anything else available.

I know a lot of people just use a QD or soap for a clay lube. I ordered some Gyeon Lube off AG, and they sent me a bottle of Wetcoat by mistake. Which was either a sign I should just use a QD or soap (like everyone else) or... go back and get a clay lube specific product. While Feynlab`s description sounds a bit info-mercial`ish to me. Maybe this product actually does do something extra that will actually give you improved results when you apply a coating. Well, they mention specifically with their coatings, but I don`t see why it wouldn`t be the same with any ceramic coating. Old me would order and see for myself, but my detailing cabinet has a buncha things I`ve bought on a whim that really weren`t worth buying lol.

*EDIT*

My bad, I did search before I posted this and nothing came up, but a thread popped up at the links in the bottom after I posted it.

I used in in 2018 prior to applying their Ceramic product. I believe I used it as a clay lube. Did it `do` anything...I dunno but since it was mentioned in the instructions I did it.

Would I use it with another coating if doing an entire car? Nope, it`s too `unusual` as a product/part of the process, nothing else like it out there that I know of...so it *may* be unique to Feynlab for a reason. Or, maybe not and it would end up working well with other things...only one way to find out!

As always thank you man, I`ve been searching for a coating to offer my customers for awhile. And I discovered Feynlab just recently, I think their Ceramic light might be perfect. 1 year and it`s cheap. I even saw you said you really liked how it looked. That + Prime = profit. You said you used Topcoat with it and liked that too, I Googled it and it`s authorized installers only, too bad :(

They used to offer Ceramic & Topcoat to everyone, think they locked it down about a year ago. Feynlab is *the* most brilliant looking coating I`ve used...looks sealant-like in appearance...like Zaino if you like that kinda look.

Never tried Lite but apparently you can apply to entire vehicle and then go back and remove. At 1 year rating, looks like a CanCoat on steroids. Will be interested to hear your thoughts if you give it a go.

It`s only $35 and the one review I found seems to say the 1 year`s not much of a stretch, if at all. Where the "2 year" coatings I`m looking at, people are getting a year maybe 1.5. I didn`t know Feynlab exited a week ago, now I want to try their whole line up. Although I`m an eco conscious detailer and their interior cleaner directions say to use gloves and a respirator. Which kind of has me worried they`re not concerned with making eco friendly products lol. I can`t recall ever using an interior product that said to use a face mask before.

Dunno about Lite but Ceramic was *the* strongest smelling coating `I`ve ever used. Middle of a big warehouse and people coming out of the office would comment.

Yeah that`s the impression I got from the bit I read on their products, even if the interior cleaner`s the best. I don`t think I could use it, I mean showing up to a customers house with a mask on because of harsh chemicals sort of contradicts the eco friendliness I market myself as lol. I`ll be doing coatings out doors, so maybe the smell would be passable. IGL would be an almost perfect company for me, but they only offer their waterless in a 16oz RTU, and all their coating`s are for certified installers only. And I`m pretty sure for any company worth anything getting to be a certified installer isn`t easy, definitely not something I`d be able to pass an application for now for sure.

Trying to be eco conscious and still use top quality products sure isn`t easy.

I believe that, aside from Kenzo, all IGL requires for the majority of their line is a business license/insurance to prove you are a business.

ohhhh??? Well, I don`t even have that. But I`m technically not live yet any ways. When I`m up and running I`ll have that and can put in an application. Good to know, thanks for the info.
