Anyone use one of these PC7424 carpet cleaning brush attachments?

Here was a response I posted about these in a previous thread:

"I have all 4 of the threaded brushes, but I've only found use for 2 of them.

Black hard bristle - I used this to clean grout. Unfortunately I only did half our kitchen floor, so you can see which half was cleaned and which half wasn't.

Aqua brush - I use these to shampoo carpet and mats

White brush - I haven't used because it's slightly stiffer than the aqua and the aqua works well for carpet, so I haven't found a use for it yet.

Gray brush - It's a soft brush, but like the white I haven't found a use for it. I'm sure it would work well on leather, but I personally like wiping down and cleaning with a generic mf towel.

You also have to remember that because they're all threaded, each time you want to change a brush, you will need your wrench so it becomes a hassle switching from backing plate, to brush, to another brush, back to your backing plate."

Since then, I've used the soft, gray brushes to clean my leather. It was soft enough for that, but I found that to get it spinning fast enough to do any cleaning, it slung way too much product around.

The one you'd be using the most is the Aqua brush. If I had to buy it again, I would only buy that one brush and save the money on something else.

My $.02

Is the Aqua brush worth the money or can you clean with a hand brush just as good?

I find that it works really well for carpet mats as you can take the mats outside and take it up to speed 3-5 on the PC and save yourself from breaking a sweat.

For the interior, it's a different story. The carpets and fabrics of the interior are not as heavy duty as carpet mats so you have to be more gentle with them. You also have to deal with a lot of sling so you have to be more careful about it when working on the inside of the car. Also, the bulkiness of the machine and attachment prevents it from reaching many areas that you can reach by hand with a brush. So even if you're going to use it on the inside of the car, you will still need to do some areas manually. Because of these reasons, I find it to be just as much hassle using it on the inside.

I didn't buy mine from Autogeek but they look similar.

The standard white nylon brush is pretty good for carpets and matts.

The grey upholstery brush works great on seating, both leather or fabric. I've used it on convertible tops too.

Let the PC do the work instead of breaking a sweat.

I like mine and would recommend them.

Thanks, BlackElantraGT...

I have the all the brush beside the black one. I use the Aqua brush when it's a light clean up to do on the floor mats or carpet and if there little more dirty I use the white brush. As for the grey brush, I love this brush. I use this to clean both of my family leather couch to which wen from a dirty looking brown color to it's original tan color. I also use the grey brush on my G35 leather seats which also came out. good.

I have two of the aqua brushes that I used on my Cyclo until I got my UDM. Now my PC is relegated to carpet duty and has an aqua brush attached. The PC is a lot easier to use in tight interiors than the Cyclo anyway.

Really works well on carpets and mats.

My PC came with the white brush, I've just used it on carpeted mats and the cargo areas of SUV's. I thought it worked fine, looking at getting a the others on my next AG order.

I actually retired my cyclo to carpet duty, A shot of apc and the grey brushes on the cyclo have all bu the nastyest of mats clean in minutes. I Had problems with the aqua brushes roughing up some older fabrics so i stick to the grey for safety. But its safe on EVERYTHING. I agree with scott the PC works alot better for tight spots in the interior but larger vehicles arent such a nightmare with the extra size and weight of the cyclo.

you don't find that the gray brush gets damaged when used on carpets? They are fairly soft and even on leather, some of strands fall off.
