anyone try this flexable hose?

I have been using an X Hose for almost a year now and I'm really happy with mine. I really like the convenience of it being very small when empty (no more rolling up a big a$$ hose) and the non-kink ability. This is the first time I've seen the Pro version. If and when I need another hose I'd get the Pro one in a heartbeat.

Thank you for your comment. I was on the fence with this product. I just placed the order.

In regards to the Craftsman rubber hose, I will cast a dissenting vote. Yes, it has proven over 4 (or is it 5 or 6) seasons to be quite durable. BUT, it is a royal pain to pull around and it kinks readily and in multiple spots. Unless you value durability over convenience then I would make a recommendation to pass on this one. The Gilmour Flexogen hoses have served me equally as well in regards to durability and don't kink any more than the Craftsman and are much more easily managed.

I have the same opinion regarding the Craftsman rubber hose--in addition I've found after a few years the rubber starts to wear off slowly so it leaves black marks on your hands and the wall where you store it.

Been looking at the Flexogen hoses--how are they for flexibility in the cold?? My garage gets down to the mid 40s in the winter and I need a hose that is flexible at that temp.

I don't seen how you would use this around a car. You would have to pull it taught to expand it, and when you go around the other side of the car to "pull it taught", you would be pulling it against the car.

Maybe for around the house.

Reminds me of one of these:

Aloha!

I haven't tried one but want to give the DAP branded 3/4" hose. It uses brass rather than plastic ends, It's not a lot of money and if it came close to working as advertised would be a great thing

I would 2nd this. Glad I caught this thread as I was just starting to think about one of these types of hoses now that I see the "PocketHose" at Walgreens every time I check out. I think at the least I would go with the Xhose Pro with the brass fittings being a must. That ship time is a little ridiculous though. Maybe I'll see if Amazon has it...they probably wouldn't have the BOGO though.

The reviews I have read on these types of hoses have been universally awful. The ends leak, they don't coil back up as shown, the covering gets holes in it from wear, etc. They cured me of wanting one until better made ones come out.

I contacted Flexilla via email and they provided me with 5 vendors, none of which sell their hose. Disappointed.

I got mine at Lowes. I'm pretty sure any place like Home Depot or Menards has them.
