anyone try this flexable hose?


My grandparents got the 50' version from Walmart. They seem to like it and it is much lighter than the heavy duty hose i have. But it seems to be a little "lite" for use on everyday detailing type work. But I really want to try one.


This guy claims to have invented the Flex hose, and has a heavy duty version I am interested in.

I am curious as well. I saw a review of these hoses on my local news. Of the 3 that were tested the Flexible Hose was the best. I can see using this at my boat dock to clean my boat or around my pool.

This one looks pretty interesting and could possibly save weight and room in the mobile rig I'm trying to get set up. Price is on par for a comparable hose and reel combo.
 
I have been using an X Hose for almost a year now and I'm really happy with mine. I really like the convenience of it being very small when empty (no more rolling up a big a$$ hose) and the non-kink ability. This is the first time I've seen the Pro version. If and when I need another hose I'd get the Pro one in a heartbeat.

Thanks Troy! I would like to try this one out too. My hose is ready to go any day now. But I have been saying that for weeks!
 
Some of my clients have them, and I hate them. I havent seen one yet that the ends didnt leak on it. FlexZilla hose all the way for me.
 
Wow! That Flexilla is calling my name.

I have 100 feet of Craftsman hose and it's an amazing quality hose, but at 62, it's beginning to become like a ball and chain to me. By the time I get the flowers watered, I'm too tired to roll up the hose.

Nothing Ive used has compared to it. They make some great air compressor hoses too.
 
A homeowner I did a boat for let me use his, and although it did everything as advertised on TV, however at the end of the day it started leaking from the end from all the pressure. These things aren't meant to withstand pressure for long periods of time. However if you are just using it to fill up a water tank, this would be a dream. It expands quickly, it's discreet, and after you're done it shrinks back up. Perfect for when you run out of water and you need to borrow from someones business or something.
 
You need to keep them off of rough surfaces when possible too. Dragging them across a gravel driveway over and over will wear them out in a hurry.

Hope you like it! And its worth waiting for!

Im not patient enough to wait over a month for delivery!
 
I have gotten about a hundred spam emails about the flex hose so I am somewhat biased against it. Plus, I find that the As Seen on TV products are generally crap. Hopefully I am wrong and you have an awesome hose
 
I just recently saw the commercial for the X-hose. It does look interesting, but as noted I don't have the patience to wait for one to be shipped...if (when?) it makes it to a b&m near me, I will be far more likely to try one. Thanks to the comment on the Flexzilla hose, I will try to remember to seek that one out at my next HD visit.

In regards to the Craftsman rubber hose, I will cast a dissenting vote. Yes, it has proven over 4 (or is it 5 or 6) seasons to be quite durable. BUT, it is a royal pain to pull around and it kinks readily and in multiple spots. Unless you value durability over convenience then I would make a recommendation to pass on this one. The Gilmour Flexogen hoses have served me equally as well in regards to durability and don't kink any more than the Craftsman and are much more easily managed.
