Interesting product. Has anyone seen or used it? It's seems like a clear bra but it's a sprayed on clear film. Get's applied with a paint gun.

Here's the link on the product:

looks really interesting! Im set up to do it. hmmmmm I wonder what the costs are. 6 mils thick. what a money maker I bet!

yeah David I mean that seems like an easy set up no need for lsp polish, ipa tape and spray! wow that could really change things for people with the big 80 gallon compressors like me! I got a exhaust fan and all! I may try to get a sample for them. I only wonder the cost!

This is nothing new and it´s actualy works. But, as always, you have to prepp the paint and then apply the spray coating. I have seen cars that beads like a fresh layer of 476, and thats after 20 months+.

6 mils thick?!?!? Geeze...

So it's a clear coat. That's all that is. Dude in the video said its a 2k system AKA 2 Komponent system like modern clears are. You add the product + the hardener, mix, spray.

I have several issues with this as an auto enthusiast and detailer however...

6 mils thick is friggin THICK. Being solvent based, cure time is somewhat long, and having to be sprayed, theres a lot of prep, and therefor a lot of room for error. G/L trying to get an orange peel free installation for 1/8th of what a full length clear-bra would cost.

Dude also said it's a urethane. Yea dude no sh!t. Were we to expect a lacquer?

So is it polyurethane or acrylic urethane? If acrylic, its cheaper and harder, but less flexible/durable. If poly - the opposite.

I still want to know how you'd spray 6mils of 2k clear orange peel free, and have it anywhere near the price of a clear-bra...

^ not possible. It'd have to be sanded. As a 2k system, the hardener you mix in will take over within a few hours leaving a hardened surface. Paint thinner, wax remover, acetone, etc - none will touch it. The chemical reaction isn't reversible
