Anyone interested in Manipulating Photo's?

New Normal
My wife just turned me on to a site that could replace the costly Adobe Photo shop program. http://www.gimp.org/

Have not done any photoshop work... yet. But would not if I were to pay for a new program. Have it bookmarked and will try playing with the program this summer while I am in Alaska.

Thought that it might be of interest for some of you out there in DC-land.

Nice. Thanks for the link. Uhmmm.... how do you get it? All the links take me to FTP pages with a bunch of folders and files. Open Source stuff really isn't my forte. I need to learn more about how to get this stuff and use it.

Gee thanks, I'm first trying to figure out photoshop, now there is something else to try.
It's kinda like waxes and sealants

Once you are on this site you need to go to the windows download a little lower on the left side of the page. There are two things to down load according to my wife. She clicked thru it so fast on my computer I was getting dizzy but it is already installed as i type this post.

There is also a help file to download that will help later plus an animation file so it totals four downloads. It took my computer less than five minutes to install. Now I am not sure what i am going to do with it but it should be fun this summer.
