anyone have video of proper PC technique?

That is a terrific question.

The only videos I've ever found were of Barry Meguiar and I didn't find them helpful.

I know there has to be more efficient PC methods than my own, but no members live near enough for a meet :bawling:

Videos would be tremendously helpful.

There is one or two on Adam's Polishes website, but his methods have been questionable here on the board. I would like to see a good video, too.

I think DavidB has some videos in the works maybe?

[quote name='blkyukon']I will....I'm going to be adding some video to my webpages within the next month on PC usage. But you can get an idea on how a polish breaks down here:

Blkyukon, I cant wait till your video is on your website. I visit your site frequently to either look at the break down stages or just admire your work :) Your Yukon is unbelievable

Thanks for hosting!

I just watched the video. It was good, but I prefer to move the machine much slower (approx. 1 inch per second).

I agree.... I move the PC slower too.

maybe he's moving it so fast because he has a wool pad on it? I dunno, either way, I really would like to see some more vids, with foam pads, light cutting polishes....ect. I think a nice extra long video is in order by now!

Not working for me either.... :(

I just bought the video that Mike Phillips did on the proper use of the PC on a 1960 Corvette. The video is almost 3 hours long. I picked it up on Showcargarage.com. I picked up alot of great tips.

Hey guys I put up a Porter Cable video demo on my website...

It just shows light marring and spiderwebbing removal but I'm going to be doing a car in the next couple of weeks, when the weather gets better, and add more video with deeper swirl removal via PC.

Hope it helps!

Works for me. Nice video. Did you film/edit/perform that?

I 2nd that the video of Mike Phillips on Showcargarage.com is worth the 25 bucks-it shows proper technique and has lots of extras-I picked up a few tips and have been using the pc for 7 years.
