Anyone have any experience with these people?

You guys do realize you're on his list of "Internet Terrorists" now, right?

I think this little pictograph sums up Mr. Winslow:

Mr. Winslow can add me to whatever list he keeps because companies like his will never compete on par with true professional detailers regardless of whether his work is good or not. In addition, his incredibly poor attititude and lack of social skills would do nothing to win customers in my neck of the woods. Best of luck to him.

Maybe the detailer that find him or herself on their list should consider it an honor, Hmmm?

In reality what Mr. Winslow and others with his mindset should realize is that there are plenty of cars and customers for everybody to go around.

I mean there are 3 coin-operated wash bays, 1 other mobile detailer, at least 4 gas station wash tunnels, 1 full service tunnel and 1 brushless washer all within a 3 mile radius of where the majority of my clients are and there are still plenty of cars that go unwashed!

Can't we all just get along? Now who was it that said that? :)

I'm sorry I had to have a read of Winslows website.

After reading about the 'founder' I was fully expecting it to say he could leap tall buildings in a single bound and cure all known illnesses.

Apparently hes been an undefeated Olympic junior champ, pedalled 1500 miles in 6 days and also a 'motocycle street racer'.

This all while being chairman/president of several 'important' official bodies etc.

Every dispute hes had, hes either won or the governing body has 'changed its mind' to agree with his way of seeing things.

LOL .....

I'm sorry but how does he find the time to fit it all in ???

It proudly boasts he's visited every town with a population of 15,000 or over in the US.

I just have to ask :

WHY ????????

O well.

**edit**

Oops I nearly forgot - he says hes 'directly descended' from a bunch of US Presidents, Vice presidents and even Winston Churchill.

Which is pretty damn difficult seen as Churchill was born well after the US had been established.

Maybe hes 145th in line to the Throne of England too.

People like Winslow state all that stuff because he knows its unverifiable. He can make himself look like the greatest guy on the planet and no one would be able to dispute his claims. Its a common political tactic - keep your opponents off balance with a series of claims about problems, issues, fears, concerns, whatever. Your opponent will either waste his time trying to refute them or make himself look bad by ignoring them. This tactic allows you to control the debate by not allowing your opponent an opportunity to make his point because you are forcing him to deal with your unproveable comments. Its effective with people who are unskilled in debating and negotiating.

I think making all these claims just sounds like he needs to fluff up his feathers to try and look like Mr Superhero.

Smacks of insecurity if ya ask me.

Is this guy for real? His attitude and God-like self-confidence is almost satirical. Sounds like he's watched Tony Robbins one too many times and has simply come unhinged.....

Too true. With all the cars out there that need professioanal attention it never ceases to amaze me the lenghts some people go to when dealing with competitors. If everyone concerned themselves more with doing quality work and providing excellent service than running down the competition then everyone would make more money and work a lot less.
