Anyone Familiar with "Jax Wax" ?

Hey whats up everyone. I live out in arizona, and a lot of car club members out here seem to swear by 'jax wax'. I've heard them mentioned here and there but don't know much about their stuff except some of their 'polishes' have fillers in them...i don't know much else though, especially about their waxes.



I was wondering if anyone had any experience (good or bad) with it or any information they could share. Jax Wax - Professional Car Care Products, Interior and Exterior Detailing Kits, Waxes & Polish Thanks all
 
Jax Wax originates around Columbus, OH. A guy I know that thinks I'm wasting my time machine polishing and using higher end products gave me a sample. The cleaner/wax reminds me of a product by The Wax Shop I used to use years ago before TW bought 'em up, Super Glaze. Super easy on/off, you can use it in direct sun, very slick wipe off, great shine and about 6 minutes worth of longevity. OK... maybe a couple of weeks. You see it sold in kiosks at a lot of smaller car shows. I used to see drag racers give the fiberglass a quick 'wax job' in the staging lanes before a run hoping the slickness equated to lower drag. I haven't seen or used any of their other products so I can't comment firsthand but the first line on their Web site gives me pause:



"Here's a secret:

Ever wonder how Detailers make a car look so good? It's the PRODUCTS they use!"



Yeah, right. Has nothing to do with technique or experience it's all about using the right products. Excuse me while I go order a tub of Crystal Rock to transform my swirl monster. :nod:



I'd say if one wanted a quick freshen up with light chemical cleaning on a defect free finish it'd be a good product for that. However, go to a car show and look at the finishes of those that are feverishly rubbing Jax Wax on & off with an old bath towel and you'll see plenty of swirls. Remember, we're all wasting our time machine polishing....

I thought i had heard some not so good info about them in passing way back when but couldn't remember the 'details' of it, probably didnt WANT to.

Well to each their own...i wont be touching it...i'd just like to be able to warn those who do use it about the negative or FALSE effects of it.
