Anyone ever use these smArold pads?

Guilty as charged.

I was at the Autobody shop a few months ago and brought a spot repair kit made by them, Which had a variety of 4" pads, backing plate. and a niffty little adapter that I can screw into my PC and use the backing plates from my Dewalt.

Only used the polishing pads. Nothing bad to report. Alot of Autobody shop's sell them.

Yeah, I have read about/seen them around. I think they're supposed to be at least half decent. Not much press on them though.

They are a large, established company. They even private label for some names you may be more familiar with, such as AutoMagic, Malco, ValuGard, etc.

Yes, I have used them, the 6" are a great match up to the PC. They are almost 2" thick and come in White buffing and Black finishing pads. Our sponser Adam's sells them on his web site.

I do have a 2" thick Buff and Shine pad (yellow)and find it horrible. If that is a rebadged SM Arnold then I would be discouraged about seeking them out.

SM arnold is also coming out with a collection of pads for the PC that seem to be modeled after the edge pads. Not the quick connect, but the grades of foam. IIRC, they have a yellow, green, blue, black, white. All of the colors correspond to the edge's system, except that the black SM pad is finishing NOT cutting. They are 6" pads.

I have used the speedy foam for years. Never any problems with them. They hold up well, never much problem with glue letting go. They do what they claim. The pad centering tool is cool.

I must say that the last white pad i bought seems to be a little different than in the past. I was told that they are the same, but the foam seems a little firmer. Jury is out if it is better.
