Anyone ever use the BLUE LC pads?

I was just looking at the Lake County site, and noticed that they have a blue foam VC pad for "final finishing". I always thought the black pad was the least aggressive :nixweiss ..anyone ever used a BLUE LC VC pad??? Is there any noticeable difference between it and the black pads?

I don't think the blue pads exist

haha..his quote links to the Lake Country site that has them, and then you say "I dont think they exist." Well, the site says they're "Final Finishing" pad and they say they're listed in order of aggression so I'd say they're softer than the black pads. I've never heard of any one using one so who knows. Maybre they're new?:nixweiss

I usually buy my Lake Country pads at Top of the Line and they don't seem to be stocking them yet.

Part numbers for Lake Country Blue pads from their own website:

75-950VC diameter: 5" thickness: 1 1/4" Blue Final Finishing Pad Hook & Loop

75-940VC diameter: 4" thickness: 1 1/4" Blue Final Finishing Pad Hook & Loop

The likely reason why no-one here is using them is because of the small diameter. Most of us are using 6" or larger pads with the PC . . .

Those pads have been listed on their website for a long time but I have yet to see them at any of the places I buy pads. I would think that the ones [yellow, orange, white, & black] you see at TOL, CMA, the other online vendors are the basic ones you need on an enthusiast level. Those blue ones might be found in an auto body shop rather than the detailers garage.

From what I understand is that they are softer than the grey/black finishing pad and not available anywhere, even directly through LC. Go figure that one out.

Any *functional* advantage over the black/gray finishing pads? IMO those are plenty mild enough for LSP work on b/c and probably on ss too. Not trying to be contrary/cynical, just wondering; IMO it's not like you'll mar paint by rubbing it with a gray pad that's moist with product, and I'm pretty particular about this stuff...
