Anyone ever detailed one of these?

I actually detailed a Pantera once a long long time ago before I knew anything about them, but it didn't look this good for sure. The cars themselves aren't really things of beauty as far as I'm concerned, but this engine was probably the best thing I saw at the car show I went to today.

Dang that looks good.... I think that is my new desktop.

I would love to detail a Pantera. I have always liked those cars. I went to a car show a couple of weeks ago and there was one there but they didn't show the engine.

In case anyone is interested, here is the Wikipedia page for the Pantera.

Yes I have two of them my cousin has them...I've also driven them and they are hot rods big time...

Nice work on the cars they are a blast to work on!

No, but I almost bought one.
A used car dealer friend of mine ended up with one and as I remember it, the price was pretty cheap because people had found out just how poorly they were constructed.
I drove it for a week and that was enough. :wall

In 1981 I had a 71 Pantera. Mine had a Holley carb (big improvement over the Autolite) though some came with Webers or Keihen carbs. (later model Group IV's I believe). This picture is pretty cool because of the injection set up, it looks like 4 Webers at first glance. They weren't a lot of fun to put a set of points in (dual point distributors) and were extremely loud in the cockpit. I sold it in order to buy a Boss 429. Cool cars but plagued with transaxle problems and frame tubs that cracked. They have a great fix these days. I still have 2 sets of heads that would fit splendidly on a 351 Cleveland. Take your pick open or closed chambers.
