Anybody run into this?

This past weekend I detailed a silver Mazda earl 2000's truck and newer blue Kia Sportage. I did my normal correction with a PC 2 step with Mothers Powerpolish (had an unused bottle that I wanted to try) and FPII.

I had some time left over and needed to touch up a few spots from being at a mechanic that lightly swirled up upper doors by windows and hood fenders on my 2007 Pathfinder.

Now keep in mind that I've only done maybe 2 full corrections since I bought new in 2007 and kept a strict wash regimine. Previoulsy I had probably 95% correction before the mechanic. My last two full corrections were done with IP and FPII.

Well after washing claying I wanted to try Mothers Powerpolish and see how it would do on my paint which I'm learning is super finicky. I used a 5.5 white CCS pad and went to town on the spots. I broke the polish down and did a IPA wipedown. It was late and getting dark so i I let be to check everything out in the morning. This morning I now have polishing areas that don't look broken down very well and light marring. Also there are spots that I can the pad almost like it was skipping throughout the panel.

Why is nissan paint such a pain in the ***! I've been paint correcting for over 10 years and never met a vehicle with such finicky paint! I've had 2 black cars before wihtout any problem correcting. There is no way a white ccs pad and powerpolish can induce such problems. The only combo I've found out of my arsenal is IP and FPII that can finish perfectly with the PC.

Anybody else have such problems with Nissan paint? The paint is so soft and doesn't take well to almost any product. I had problems in the past with this paint using D151, Opt compound/polish, SSR1 & 2.5 etc. Only IP and FPII work and finish perfectly.

I usually only work a 2x2 area, prime the pad make a couple of passes until the product has diminished and lighten pressure to make maybe 2 light passes. All of these products worked fine on other cars. What the hell is going on! I'm losing my mind! I hate this paint!

So has anybody had trouble with newer Nissan clear mainly dark colors (black) that are a pain to correct? Any input would be appreciated as I am trying to understand why only one combo seems to work with this paint.
