anybody heard of a wax called "The Wax Shop"?

Im new to this forum and im sorry if I posted in the wrong section or if simply, this is a retarded thread but I am curious as to what other peopel think of this wax, if you have heard of it

it is a very very thin carnuba wax that my step brother recommended

it goes on very easily and clear and doesn't leave any white crap like S100

but unlike S100 it has to haze and stay on the car for 10 mins

it leaves a nice shine, but its not as deep a shine as S100, but I feel its a "thicker" coat of protection

but once topped with S100, it looks like glass

and its cheap, 8 dollars for a big bottle as your local pep boys
 
Wax Shop has been discussed before. If you use the search button, you should find at least a few threads. Wax Shop's Super Glaze is fine for a quick shine, but it doesn't last.



S100 does not leave any white crap anywhere on the car and it does last a lot longer than Super Glaze. I've used both, so this is from personal observation.

That sentence reads like you are saying Super Glaze doesn't leave any white crap like S100 (does). If you had said, "Like S100, Super Glaze doesn't leave any white crap" it would have been more clear. ;)



Probably if you had typed in Wax Shop Super Glaze, you may have found some more threads. Search engines are funny that way.
 
alright, I used quick glaze and topped it with S100, it looks amazing, a nice deep shine, but.............swirl marks remain, wtf?

I can't figure this out, I thought that maybe waxing it would reduce the swirls but, nope

anyways, before I waxed I clayed it, could this have made the swirls worse?
 
washed the car, then clayed it with clay magic

I did a panel at a time and throughly wiped it down after claying

then I layed down some super glazed and buffed that out

then the S100
 
Evan-claying and waxing won't remove swirls. You are going to need a dedicated swirl remover and Super Glaze really doesn't have any filling properties. It is just too thin a product.
 
Cleaner waxes in general, not just Super Glaze, are usually far too pathetically weak to do anything to swirls (the exception are the Pro products that are intentionally stronger). Like Scott said, you'll need a dedicated polish (or two) to take out swirls. Sorry, but it's not that simple. :)
 
does Zymol cleaner wax sound like a good solution to my problem?

I feel like a moron asking these questions

Scott, whats the product that you always talk about to remove swirls?

will I need a machine to remove the swils or?
 
Like 4DSC said, most cleaner waxes have such mild abrasives they are useless for swirl removal. Meguiars Swirl Remover #9 is a good start. Either search here for swirl removers and use or check the product list on ot.
