Any way to fix clear coated alloy wheel corrosion?

I just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory alloy wheels and, being a '95, the wheels have some spots where the clear coat has failed and the metal corroded, is there any whay to fix this?

Sure - bead blast or use a chemical stripper to remove all of the old clear.

Re-spray the silver wheel color if necessary.

Spray 2 coats of clear and bake.

A shop near me did a set of 4 16" wheels for me for $600.00 a few years ago. Not bad for the results I got.

For $600 couldn't you just buy new rims? Probably not really great rims but probably something better than what comes on a stock Jeep.

That doesn't really answer my question. Could you, or could you not, purchase rims (either new or used) for a 95 jeep cherokee for at or under $600
