Any use P21S over AIO?

Is this a decent combination? I am going mainly for looks on a dark blue car. Not super concerned about durability because it will be garaged 90% of the time.

Thanks

That is definitely a good, classic combination, IMO. You should be very happy with those two. Durability will be nice too, since it is garaged.

Thanks

I use that combination with excellent results on my Lakeshore Slate G35

Question:

If you apply P21S over AIO (and SG), what is the recommended procedure when it's time to re-wax?

Should you strip everything with Dawn or simply re-apply AIO/SG/P21S?

if you are just going to do the wax....as the AIO and AG will last much longer than the P21S...just give it a good wash with shampoo and re apply the wax(P21S)...

Plus dawn will come no where close to stripping AIO and SG...Dawn wash is very over rated..Dawn is a de greaser type detergent..not a wax stripper..when used it is just removeing oils from a wax or sealant ..

I realize this is an on-going debate. But it seems to me that the reason we pay more for car wash shampoos is because diswashing detergents are very hard on LSP's, including wax. I have even seen in print that we shouldn't normally use dishwashing liquid because carnuba wax is basically like a grease.

Not to threadjack, but since I happen to be using the Klasse twins on my wifes car (and plan to use it on miine), what would I use to strip it if I wanted to do so in the spring?

Any good polish will remove AIO and SG or a product like Meg's Paint cleaner..and as far as Dawn removing wax...yes it may remove some of the beauty waxes ..like Sov..S100...PB's.but any good durable wax like #16..collinite..Fk1000 dout it..

Try this..take a plate..and put some collinite on it..place in a sink for 15 minutes with cool water like wash water with dawn..then take out and rinse..it will still bead ..the gloss may diminish some from removal of some surface oils..but will still be there and bead...

Good sealants and wax are pretty resistant to detergents..

yes..LOL..I forgot..AIO will clean the paint also...had a brain fart here...

AIO will clean/prep the surface again. Diswashing detergents are bad because they do not give enough lubrication resulting in swirlmarks

yeah AIO is a cleaner sealant. Also dawn will dryout rubber pieces if you are not careful.

That is precisely the combo I used here, they work well together.

Documented in some fashion in nearly every detailing handbook is to be sure to use high quality car wash soap because liquid dish detergents are hard on LSP's and some may even strip wax.

Hmm...Aren't there detailers on this very forum that use a Dawn/water mix as a detailing clay lubricant?

And the answer to the original post is yes, the detailing guide on this site refers to P21S over the Klasse twins as 'The Perfect Shine'.
