Any suggestions on how to use PC on a truck/suv's roof?

The dilemma is that the roof of the truck is so high that I can't reach it. Sometimes, the hood is even high enough that using the PC is very difficult.



I bought a step ladder but I think that its too short as I can't get a full angle to correctly use the PC on the hood and roof.



So how do you guys do it? I'm curious. I've resorted to applying the products to the roof with my hands. and I can't believe that everyone is doing the same.

I open the doors and stand on the sills, and then I also have been known to stand on the tire, but you have to be careful not to mar the paint with your knees when you lean in to get the center.

That is exactly the one I use ... lightweight, portable, and just wide/long enough to stand on.:bigups

I use a pair of slightly different ones: Amazon.com: Bauer Fold-N-Carry Work Platform #20900: Home Improvement . Bigger and more stable than the less-expensive ones, if you care about that. If you use the ones with aluminum top surfaces, be sure to put some friction material on them so they don't get slippery when you use them during the wash.



I even find these handy when doing sedans (I'm 5' 10" ).

Oh thanks everyone! That stool is what I need! I didnt even think of that. I have a little step ladder and is very difficult to balance on it with one foot!
