Any soap recommendations for a foam gun?

Anyone have soap recommendations for use with a foam gun? My understanding is that certain soaps work better than others.

Thx!

this works pretty well and it's available OTC (AZ, pepboys, etc)...

The Optimum soap is just about perfect in the foam gun.

That's what I've been using as well. Picked up a gallon of it at the last AG sale. However, I'm having so much fun with it that I'm running through soap pretty quickly  I wish you could still pick up NXT soap from Walmart for $5

so can you use ANY car-wash soap with your foam gun??? or are there any restrictions???

Many soaps are too thick to draw properly through the siphon tube on the gun. I usually dilute them 3:1 with water. The watery soaps you can put in straight.

This has probably been said a bunch of times, but I didn't read the whole thread...

Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss with a touch of Zaino Z7 is my favorite foam cannon combo. It should work pretty well in a Gilmore foam gun, too.

Adam's Car Wash has worked great for me as far as foam that will stick to the surface for a little while. I usually dilute it a little with water. The Eagle One soap poasted on the first page is the best store bought I used, the foam just didn't last as long.

What kind of shampoo you like in the foamgun is probably gonna be most dependent upon how you use the thing.

And yeah...mix up a gallon of concentrate and fill the foamgun from that.
