Any other dressing freaks?

When I say dressing freak, I mean you dress anything and everything you possibly can...

I've got about 4 full cans of Trim Shine, 2 more about 1/3rd full. I've got some Autocare VOC Blue Silicone dressing (This stuff works pretty dang good IMO...) P&S Shine All, P&S Wipe N Shine, Armor All, NXT protectant, Megs #40 (all 1 gal jugs), Klasse, a can of Hi-Tech coating, as well a couple others.

Tire dressings: Megs Hot Shine, Endurance and NXT Insane Shine, Wipe N Shine, More Shine Less Time, etc...

Yea man. Me too. Always trying new ones. Also, have you noticed some tire dressings work good on certain brands of tires and some don't look near as good? For instance, I've got Dunlop Winter Sport MX3's on my Scooby and I haven't found a dressing that doesn't look good. But my wife has Firestone's on her Yukon and some dressings look blotchy and uneven even with multiple coats, different application tecniques, etc. Anyone else  notice this or am I ready for the funny farm?

I have Potenza S-03's and Ive had the same complaint about dressings not looking as good as I;ve seen them look on other brand tires.

If you'll notice, All-Season Tires take in dressings really well.

Im the same way. I use mostly NL so i have a few bottles but i alwys find myself buying OtC ones. I think i may have 5 or six that I have boughten in the last month. LOL. I also find myself putting more then a few coatings on. I love dressings esspecialy those for the interior

Yea, I do a lot of trucks/suv's so I use a lot of tire dressing, and I've noticed some don't work so well on others. Wipe N Shine can usually stick to anything, but it's not cheap and I don't use it on customer washes that much, mainly my family's vehicles. I like using NXT Insane shine or the Hot Shine around the outer tread to fill in all those nooks/crannies, usually comes out pretty wet, and I like the wet look :D

Yea but haven't you noticed BNB looks better on other brand tires?

The only dressing that truly lasted and gave my tires a rich shine that actually looked good was FK1 #350, but its not as easy to apply as BNB is and you also use more. Im switching to Michellin PS2's soon. Im sure they will look a lot better, considering Michellin even has its own dressing.

I thought Zaino's dressing was matte?

I stumbled upon a new one (new to me I mean:) ) that I really like on my Dunlops. Dupont Teflon Tire shine. I first saw it in Advance Auto on a clearance shelf and bought it to try. Wow! I really like it. After I learned to spray it on a EO tire wipe and then wipe it on the tire instead of spraying it directly on the tire like the directions say, I think it will go a long way. Anyhow, it looks blue when you first put it on, but then it dries crystal clear and looks real good. Tire still looks wet but when you wipe your finger across the sidewall, nothing. Clean, dry, and shiny. Seems to last good also. I was in Wally World the other day and found more and bought two more bottles. I like it that well. If you run across some, try it. You'll be glad you did. :D

It's by far my favorite tire dressing to date. It doesn't matter what brand tire, type or tire, or anything, it gives that nice wet look on anything! I really like it for smooth and semi-smooth rim, holds up well in the rain.

I'm actually a bit low on it right now, I guess it's time to restock!

mrlysle: I bought a bottle of it last summer, it worked OK. I sprayed it directly on the tire though, I'll have to try wiping it on the tire this time

It's a gel dressing made my P&S, it's great stuff.

#L30 - Wipe 'N Shine represents a new concept in tire dressing. Not a milky emulsion, not a true gel, Wipe 'N Shine falls somewhere in-between. This dynamic and innovative dressing provides a shine that literally lasts for days. Wipe 'N Shine works best when applied with a soft sponge but can be applied through a spray bottle. A unique feature about Wipe 'N Shine is that it can be, and works best, when applied to a wet tire. Wipe 'N Shine has been developed with the ability to pull excess water from the tire surface and replace it with Wipe 'N Shine's unique blend of silicones. Car washes and automotive dealers alike are rapidly becoming fans of Wipe 'N Shine. A side benefit of using Wipe 'N Shine is that customers have observed a 20 - 30 percent drop in dressing usage. (Gals.- 4 per case, 5s, 15s, 32s, 55s)

I spray it on, wipe it off. I'll usually do a light second coat to make sure I've got even coverage. The thing about Wipe N Shine is that when you first put it on, it doesn't look so wet and bold, but after about 10 minutes it really makes the tires shine :bigups
A gallon goes a long ways if you use it as sparingly as you can

I guess I fall into the dressing freak category. I think I've tried more brands that I'll ever be able to remember:

-Meg's, Mothers, Stoners, AA, Eagle1, Lexol, 303, 4*, TOL, Hi-Temp, FK, Poorboys NL & BnB, Michelin, Turbo Wax Tire Gel, WG, Chemical Guys, etc, etc....

I always return to Poorboys. IMO, you just can't beat BnB or NL. For me, NL or BnB works well every time.
