Any Liquid Glass Fans?

On Tuesday I will be washing, claying, and sealing my New Car for the first time. A friend recommended I use a product called "Liquid Glass." Now I've seen it at the Local Pep Boys but have never heard anything about it. The reviews I've found on other websites seem to say it's ans excellent product. From what I've read, the people on this board are very knowledgable. Do you recomend it, and what can I expect for durability?
 
Its one of the first generation paint sealants, durability is good but your car tends to have a "wrapped in plastic" look to it. I'd reccomend a number of different OTC products, but if you have a boat store near you go there and buy a wax called "Collinite", and if you have a Carquest, they sell an excellent spray wax called "Duragloss Aquawax", which you can use occasionally to extend the protection/shine of collinite. I'd say with this pairing you should get at least 6 months of durability.
 
Love Liquid Glass. Easy to apply, very slick and seems to repel dirt. Lasts along time too. Just not very popular here for some reason.
 
I used to use it and loved it. Just used it again this weekend. I have my family down in naples using that since at the time before NXT, and all the others it was the best IMO OTC product. It worked great on the white car I did. I used DP Sealant on the gold one well I was down there and pop was very close. DP seemed to POP more, but LG had a better feel when you ran your hands over it.
 
I love the stuff. Especially on black cars. It "seals in" all the work I did to the car, previously. Make sure you are satisfied with your car's surface before you add the Liquid Glass, because it is a pain to remove. In fact, the directions on the back of the can recommend using steel wool to remove the product! If you have any swirls, scratches, spider webs, etc, get rid of as much as you can BEFORE applying the product. I am on coat #2 on my car, and I will be applying many more over the summer. And if you want, you can apply wax to it with no harm done.
 
Think it's tougher than AIO? I always wanted to try LG, but never have. Doesn't the lable say in layers it will help preven stone chips? Might be great on a bike.

On the paint! Are they serious? I'm not trying to be funny, but is it meant to be a joke?

That's for repainting. For purposes of applying a differenct product, just use a pre-wax cleaner. Here are the FAQ's which address this issue:

I'm a fan of liquid glass. However, I suspect the formulation of the product I'm using now attracts ants. I've been having an ant issue on the car I've been using LG on but not on my wife's car that I use NXT on. This weekend I put NXT on my car except for the hood to see if the ants go away. Too early to tell for sure but so far is does seem there are fewer ants now.
