Any good sites to build your own site

After 4 months of beating my head against a wall with 2 different designers, I am going to build my own site.

I really like SiteCube, but the "designs" suck. Any sites similar to this that have better "designs" that aren't so terrible?

I have mine with SiteCube. Just out of curiosity, do you think my website sucks? I get compliments on it all the time. There are 2 things at SiteCube that really change the appearance. One is the theme, the other is design. They have over 300 designs, and there are some good ones. Maybe you didn't look far enough to find a good design, or maybe just none of them met your needs.

I've had my sites with citymax.com and web.com as well. Both were fine.

Your site is nice, but not the direction I am looking at going. I looked at all 334 designs, and not one of them is how I want my site to look. I am more anal about this then I am detailing I think.

Another vote for Dreamweaver - I use it for all website projects I work on and it is a pleasure to use

Maybe post an ad somewhere for some college student to build it for you - offer $20 an hour and work with him/her. Will benefit you both IMO

I understand. It sounds like you have something in your head and you just need it put together. If I had the money when I put mine together, I could have had something completely custom designed. However, it is pricey to do so, and not worth it for my business right now. I like having complete control of my site, and since I started it for under $100 including hosting for several months, domain, etc., I'm really happy with what I got. My customers are too. I get emails all the time from people that really like my site. To custom code and design a site will likely cost you several hundred to thousands of dollars, unless of course you get the programs to do so and learn everything yourself.

I am the same way Todd. That's why I still haven't got my own site yet. I am looking for something that is really out of this world and explosive.

What type of sites you like? Ill hook people up on here as far as pricing goes. I need an extractor to make my life easier so I am willing to design some custom sites for cheap.

We're about at the same spot you are. We've had 2 websites done by 2 different people and both of them gave us headaches for months. So now we are in process of doing our own, though the one we now have is getting us business. Here are my wife's recommendations:

pagebreeze.com - if you already have a host - designed for beginners - $30

also - coffecup.com - free trial

And need to get it optimized - probably pay someone unless you're real knowledgable

Don't use frontpage. Our website designer did that and screwed us up because it's outdated.

I did mine for about $400. Call me know if I can be of any help.

You have a great site Joe. Did you do it yourself or have it designed? I have always enjoyed your site.

The reason I have been thinking of doing it myself isn't to save money, it is because I am excessively anal and probably a terrible client. I would much rather pay a pro to do it...

Thank you,

I did it myself. Call or email me and I will tell you how (offer only good for Todd).

I will be in Orlando soon (1st or 2nd week of April) can we do lunch?

Thanks Joe. I will call you tomorrow! We HAVE to do lunch, I was looking forward to meeting you in Tampa, but I guess you left right before I got there :(

Joe, the number on your site didn't work. Shoot me an email (you should have the address) with your phone #!

Thanks again!

I am LI Detailers. psdSHOW.com :: Portfolio Of Andrew Hoffmann is my design portfolio. A lot of gaming sites because I design game templates for free every now and then at a graphics site I visit. I can hook it up if you want.

The site is nice and professional, but I am looking for a little more (no offense). How much to have you take a crack at logo design?

Bella Macchina: Concours Perfection and Fine Vehicle Preservation...

I would like Bella Macchina to be in script, not sure how to work (or if to work) the remainder of the text into.

I am a firm believer is less is more, and above all I want to express a very high end, classy, almost art work like feeling.

If your interested...
