Any Coffee lovers?

Love, love, love coffee.

The best coffee I've ever had came from Jamaica, Green or Blue Mountain I think. I lived in Maine for a few years and they had the opposite label, green or blue, can't remember.

Actually, the best coffee I've ever had is a tie b/w Green/ Blue Mountain and some coffee I had every day while in Hawaii. Both great coffees. Way better than the crap here in the states.

And +1 on Starbucks having the worst coffee. I'll drink it if I have to but that doesn't mean I will enjoy it!

Is this some sort of "support college kids" corporate policy? Or if you work there you get a free pound of coffee a week that your buddy doesn't drink? Or is this some sort of 5-finger discount?

I have had friend work at satrbucks.. they get a certain amount of free beans every so often.. i guees that way they can say the staff even drink it at home.. but yeah, they do get lots of free coffe

LOL yeah I guess I should have clarified that. I guess he gets a 1lb of any variety of coffee every week. Funny thing is that he hates coffee so he just gave me all his freebees. He actually just quit so my source is gone. Have about 5 lbs left though so I should be good for a while.

I have used one for camping, makes a nice cup, some don't like grounds, doesn't bother me. After reading the link it gave me a few easy ideas to improve my brew.

I don't function without coffee....

I have friend who brings me a 3 pound can of Tim Horton's aka TimmyHo's whwnever she goes to her Dad's house in Ontario.

I'm on a first name basis with the baristas at Starbucks. A loy of people don't like Starbucks... it is an acquired taste, much like drinking Guinness (which I also happen to enjoy)

Dunkin Donuts is the Budweiser of coffee...

We have two small local roasters in the area I buy coffee beans from. I like to grind mine fresh if I have the time.

Just wondering who needs a fix in the morning and what their favorite is.

Myself i like Tim Hortons storefront.

Van Houtte Mexican in store bought, very nice.

I also roast green beans, the cheap way, presently Mexican with a touch of Costa Rican. Right now i have a batch of three different levels of roast, kinda covering all bases. Also very nice.

Not a fan of Tim Horton's here. I believe they use Robusta beans = low quality, high caffeine coffee.

Starbucks is ok but there is an acidic taste to their beans. My favourite is Second Cup. Everyone goes there for the lattes but IMO their coffee is better than any other chain I have ever seen.

Yea, tim horton's coffee doesn't really taste like coffee to me.

I'm sold on the Boca Java Club. Excellent selections with a roast date on your order assures freshness. Just finished my 2lb samples from Xmas and ready for more!

There's a site for us Canucks: greenbeanery.ca. I haven't ordered anything there yet but I plan to once my 5 lbs of Second Cup beans are gone.

I don't care for Timmy Ho's coffee, but I LOVE STARBUCKS! Black. It's amazing. Also Community Coffee is good. It's what we have at the house. Any Community drinkers here???

We go through 3-4 pounds a week just at home. Been ordering from kaldi.com, a good selection and you can get different levels of roast if you like. It's roasted to order. Our current favorite is Hawaiian Kauai Typica Estate in the city roast at less than $10 per pound. We get at least 10 lbs. per order and it arrives in 2-3 days. Whole bean, grind as needed.

I looked at some of the recommended and they are quite expensive! Check out kaldi.com and see if the pricing is better. It could be that the reason is that the smallest bag is 5 lbs., but we us alot.

HAPPY DRINKING!:xyxthumbs
