Any big Chemical Guys followers out there

I can see where everyone`s coming from. IMO they`re a step up from OTC or most OTC products. I prefer the look Innerclean leaves vs armorall. And their VRP for tires and trim over any of the OTC. The new car spray lasts far longer than anything I`ve used. Just to name a few comparisons. It seems CG could greatly benefit from not being the super Walmart of detailing products and rather have one great product for each task

This is about where I stand. Their volume of products is absurd. They have a few decent products (v07, pete`s 53, vrp)

precisely, which is why they aren`t really on my radar

I think I managed to talk one guy away from them. He was set on using Jet Seal, until he saw the work I did on his cousin`s car, using FK1000p, and I think I may have challenged him on durability.

edit I got curious to see how much I spent on their Butter Wet Wax, so did a search on my Amazon account, and laughed a little when I realized I had forgotten I had also bought their Diablo Gel wheel and Rim cleaner.

The Butter wax was only used twice, for sampling/testing. Never did a whole car with it. If someone were to pay actual shipping cost, I`d *give* it away.

While I didn`t start with chemical guys, I did fall into the hype of their products, plus it didn`t help that I`m local to their facilities. At the time (must have been like 8 years ago) I really only used meguiars but mostly polishes and OTC products. So I bought some of their products, jetseal, citrus wash and gloss and some other "goodies." I was amazed at the results, but I wanted more. Thats when I found the forums, I believe it was proper auto care and learned about other brands. Blackfire wet diamond was my first purchase and the rest is history. I never looked back. I pretty much gave away all my chemical guys products. Nowadays I use citrus wash and gloss once in a blue moon. I mostly use PBMG products but I`ve slowly been building an arsenal of each brand, and I don`t even do this for a living. I JUST WANT IT ALL!

Thats the rabbit hole I mentioned.....

Used many of their products haven`t purchased in years, I just can`t take all the hype products are just meh. Butter wet wax is the worst wax I have ever tried. I think many of us started out using their stuff but when we became more educated about detailing products we move on.

I definitely have gallons form my original purchase 6 years ago sitting around as well. Most their products are just relabeled or watered down meh. I still stick with citrus wash though. Hex logic pads are great for getting to know foam but they do wear down very fast, too fast for my liking.

I stick with 1Z, Sonax, Car-pro, Optimum some Blackfire and megs.

For equipment and tools, you`ll realize some specialized stuff is worth it while others are such a waste.

Over the past several years I`ve tried numerous Chemical Guy`s products. I normally buy them by the gallon. I really like Blacklight and have used a lot of the P-40 polish. I love their soaps and have went through several gallons of Honeydew Foam soap, the suds last forever and it smells great. Most all of their scents will outlast most other brands. I`ve never tried their high end wax, but who could afford them and would you really want to try them even if you could afford the price? Their compounds and polishes work as advertised. Overall I have been happy with all their products. I agree with the over hype and marketing attempts, but they do make a really good product.

I don`t have experience with them first hand but I do read a lot of reviews and forums and none have been that great about them. I will spend my money on products that have better reviews. They do advertise like crazy and make stuff look flashy on their social media accounts.
