Any Benefit To Letting Klasse SG sit ???

I hope to apply 3 coats of Klasse SG this weekend and the first is drying on my car as I type.

Is there any benefit to letting it sit 30 minutes, an hour, or 3 hours before buffing it out? I don't care if it's a little harder, the car is inside and I have the time to take it off.

I trust that even if there's no additional benefit to waiting, that I'm not hurting it by letting it sit.

supposedly it's easier to take off when it's completely dry but I've had the best luck with SG using it as a WOWO product & applying it very thin.

I can't give you the link but search autopia for an article by Bill_Davis on this topic.

The main reason that I see the benefit of letting it sit for awhile is the fact that it buffs off easier. I'm sure you could just do that whole wipe on wipe off thing if you wanted to, but that just seems like cutting corners for me. If you are in a rush to get the job done, then use another product. Let SG sit for 30 to 45 minutes and do some detailing on the interior or something. Dress the tires or wash the windows or have a smoke. Don't be in such a damn hurry to get the process done. Detailing is all about taking your time to do it right. If the product needs that 30 or 45 minutes as part of the process to a better shine, then shouldn't you let it do its thing? Like I said, do something else while it is drying. Nobody said you had to stand there and watch it dry. Come inside and take a break on DC and shop at our sponsors while its drying. :naughty

Pinnacle Souveran is a wipe on wipe off product. Klasse Sealant Glaze needs time to bond to the paint if you want to obtain the full potential of it's durability.

the reason I suggested the WOWO approach is because SG can be difficult to take-off is not applied thinly & uniformly.

My first SG experience was frustrating 'cause some sections came off easy & others were really tough after letting it sit for about 45 minutes on an 80* day. Used a damp MF applicator & tried to put it on thin on top of AIO but, though the results were excellent, I decided to try the WOWO method.

2nd layer was done WOWO & looked fantastic until I started the winter prep and took everything off, deciding to go with FMJ (e-e-e-asy on , even easier off) for looks & Collinite for durability.

Will probably give SG a try again in the spring, maybe UPP, perhaps EX-P.

There are just so many choice.
