Any Autopians in Southern California

Okay....let me narrow that a little bit. Im looking for people willing to come to Whittier area for a Saturday "Autopia" event. We could get together and share tips, experiment with different products, etc.

At this point, I'm just looking for a show of hands to get a number to see if this would even work. I know MG has their open garage, and their are alot of people who do this on the east coast, why can't we???

I am in the high desert area (Victorville) but would like to participate if we can ever get anything 'off the ground'. I am a vendor/reseller as well so I could bring some of the various brands for people to try out. Heaven knows I have enough 'stuff' in my garage!! :hairpull

I would kill to have someone show me how to use a rotary. Just got my 96 Impala repainted, and need to step up my game from my PC. BTW, I'm in Corona, but will drive to LA, no sweat.

I'm down. I'm in Riverside, but I wouldn't mind driving down to Whittier, I have family there. I want to see someone use a rotary. I can bring some UPGP and DWG if anyone wants to try that combo on their car.

well as i stated, my shop will be open this week and i will be open every saturday. i finalize my lease monday and should get keys this week. i would love to meet up and the use of my shop is an open invite. if i get my website finished soon i will PM to who ever wants it. i posted some info about my shop opening on another forum and got my hands slapped. so i am refraining from giving out too much info other than to be helpful

Awesome guys, looks like were off to a good start. We may not be getting as much feedback if people aren't checking this part of the forum. If someone could help me out and figure out how to do a search of the members list for so-cal people, i'd like to get an idea of just how many autopians are here!

Showing you guys how to use a rotary is not a problem. It's not as challenging as it seems! However, I am not the master of every single technique out there!

If you guys could send me a pm with your email, well get this going.

aww come on, it only 183 miles round trip lol

...not after the detour for whatever fire is burning at the time - not LOL.

When y'alls get too tired of being too hot for too long, c'mon up, it will probably be niiiice up here. We will see what we can learn about high altitude detailing and BBQing.

:idea

Whittier right? I live in Long Beach and I don't think it's too far a drive. I'm interested so let me know if it'd be possible to have a regular thing going. I'm fairly new to using the PC but my main concern is learning what product and process to use. There are so many different products out there its a bit overwhelming. I went to Meguiars' free seminar and I learned a lot. Anyways, PM me if you're planning on doing something regularly I'd be very interested. My brother helps me with details so we'd be willing to go.

We've tried this quite a few times before.......

Patrick, after speaking with Mikeb yesterday we realize it has been tried before. i dont know what the hang up is with people? time, scheduling, distance?? as i stated in my previous posts and other threads, my shop will always be open to any one who wants to drop by. you can try what ever samples i have, just bring your own car, the clear on mine is almost gone lol. i have a flex, hitachi and PC that you can try as long as we are not using them on a customers car. hope this makes it a little easier for some, i know it would be great to get 20 people, but i think 3 or more would be fun?? just to get to know each other and share ideas, other forums i belong to do this regularly and some times 1 or 2 show up and some times 20-30 show up. not for detailing by the way, motor cycle and auto forums. so if you're interested PM me or mikebires.
