Ants!!!!!

My mother used Terro year ago, but I've had some trouble finding it around here lately. Just gotta figure out where to look. For now, I guess I'll just use Nutrasweet.

Nutrasweet/Aspartame is sold as "Equal" in the grocery stores. I figure its worth a shot!

Thanks for the tip on Lowe's, I'll stop by there later.

Yup, with a wife and 2 daughters I know about Equal. I'm trying to convince them that Nutrasweet is not a good thing to consume on a regular basis, I've heard about way too many problems. I try to buy them diet soda with Splenda.

Ampro is another good product....had good results from it....called Ant Block...for outside house perimiter..they bring to nest and kills off the nest...very effective...

Tom..in your case..maybe spread some up in the cieling where you found the nest and eggs..they probally moved but give it a shot........it is granular....they will hang around water pipes...they condensate this time of year...so a water supply for them...spray behind all in wall water pipes..will help....

you can also use some borax and boric acid mixed in some jam...make small bait stations...

Soon Splenda will be frowned upon. Just hasn't been around long enough yet. Sugar bonded with chlorine can't be good. I don't like man-made sweeteners.

man, can't even leave the dog food out for a minute before the the little critters are all over it  ! anymore recommendations?

Just for reference. I'm spraying my house and a couple of my neighbors (they pay me:D). I'm not seeing ants in my house at all at 9+ months and there are very few outside even if I run water. We're ALL happy.

Spoiledman..what stuff did you use...I need to use a spray instead of bait granules..The AMPRO worked great..but the dogs kept sniffing at ii ..So I think a foundation spray is needed...so what is the product you are spraying and getting good results

Give them a call and tell them what you have. They were MORE than happy to help me out. The prices may seem a little high compared to what you find locally but this stuff seems to actually work. I got Termidor spray concentrate and Advance bait crumbs.

Al, I ended up with Termidor. You will need a garden sprayer to deliver it as it has to be mixed with water. It's an odorless professional product.
