I use them to keep the noise level down when the straps vibrate at higher speeds, and they also protect my paint from being slapped continously by the nylon straps.

I also use them to wipe the dirty water and/or weeds and mud off of the kayak before it goes back on the car (different ones of course).

A few more months and I'll be able to kayak here... :)

Vdog what's with your sig? Are you getting a rotary to replace your PC or something?

My PC has been in my closet for about 5 months now. its all rotary usage for me. i really have no need for it anymore.

OK I got your PM but your inbox is full.

My response was..

No, I don't have either one of those programs, but I am in the Autopia Chat right now...

good use, lmao. Those are the baja sole or whatever they are arent they? My wally's has a pack of 8 mf's for like 5$ that are actually much better quality. I still wouldnt use them on paint but if i was in a bind, i would feel more comfortable using them than those.

They are the white and blue MicroTex MFs that sell here for 5/$5.87.

I also have 2 other cheap MFs that I got from Autozone (my first ever MFs).

I have not noticed any paint damage whatsoever from the MFs, and I don't really want to spend $2.00+ per MF just to put them under some kayak straps. I don't want them to fall out while I'm driving.

To date, I've only had one MF fly out from under the strap, and I just turned around and grabbed it.
