Welcome to the site what are you trying to do, bring in customers to detail or family cars?

if you are thinking about a starter kit go to any of the site sponsors and they have kits for the outside and the inside......My personal preference is Poorboys World but there are plenty of products to choose from.

Now the difference in polish and wax is, polish is designed to cut the surface that can take out swirls and bring back luster......Wax is designed protect the finish and make it shine.....The steps that you want to make are polish then wax.....now to confuse you a bit more there are one step products AIO (all in one) that are nice for wash and waxes as you talked about...my personal favorite is Poorboys World polish with carnauba

hey thanks for the info. i guess i would like to start with famley cars, and maybe a couple of friends cars, just to see if i am any good at it. question: do polish then was or is that what you were talking about in AIO ? thanks again. ( running out of paper in the printer, printimg tips :)

You'll want to wash the car first, then polish, then wax.

Have you ever used a clay bar? If not, you'll want to use clay before polishing...so the process will be wash, clay, polish, then wax. Clay bar info

AIO is short for Klasse All-In-One. It is a chemical cleaner/polish that leaves behind a good amount of acrylic protection for your paint. This product does a great job removing oxidation, and makes a great base for topping with a pure wax or sealant. However, it also makes a great one-step if you want to just use one product and will protect the paint for several months. More info here...

Also, we have a wide variety of kits to choose from. Here is a link to the kits page:

Hope this helps!

You can start by buying piece by piece as you need or get a kit that suites your needs.

Polish cleans your paint and removes defects...Poorboy's Products like the SSR's , Polish w/ Carnauba, or Professional Polish will do that job.

Wax is for protecting the finish, and adding gloss after all the cleaning and polishing is done.
