Another MF cloth question

Advice needed on MF cloths for these purposes:

1) Paint Cleansing Lotion

2) Polish

3) Carnauba Wax

at the moment, I have 4 super plush MF towels. they are very thick and soft, which brings me to the question, for the above uses, will these plush towels be good ?

kinda confused on whether a thinner MF towel should be used for either of the purposes ?

would appreciate it if anyone can help clear my questions ...cheers

Are you trying to use your mf towels to apply product or for removal purposes only?

For any of the above products, I only use mf towels for removal of product. I'm sure everyone likes different towels for different purposes, but here are my preferences:

Super Plush - QD purposes

Removal of product (polish, wax, paint cleansing lotion, etc.) - I like the tight weave, no nap towels like these pictured here:

Waffle Weave - I prefer these for drying the car

Glass waffle weave - I use these to do the cleaning pass on the glass, followed by a generic mf towel for the drying pass.

Generic microfiber (the kinds you can get at wholesale clubs) - interior cleaning, drying windows after cleaning with a glass waffle weave mf towel, door jambs, wheels, applying interior/exterior dressing, etc. Basically these are all-purpose, general purpose type towels.

If you don't want to deal with having to pay high shipping prices to try out some nice towels, I recommend going to Kmart and getting some Viking towels. They're QD, Polish, and Drying towels are just as good as the "boutique" towels. Same thing with Mother's towel, which actually come from the same place as the Viking towels. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the boutique mf towels comes from the same source as many are alike.

sorry should have made it clearer,

the polishes n waxes that I have come with the applicators, so I will only be using the MF for removal purposes.

I am looking at the Cobra line of towels and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction

No, they're the same as Mother's towels.

I'm not familiar with the newer 2007 or 2008 year towels from Meguiar's, but their previous Supreme Shine towels were of poor quality. The quality of generic microfiber towels are better than the Meg's towels. And Meg's water magnets don't seem to be any softer than the generic Mainstays Walmart waffle weaves.
