Unfortunately it rained on & off so all after pictures are inside the garage.



FK1 wash

dp clay - didn't really needed it

ssr2.5/pc on vertical panels & green propel pad

ssr2.5/rotary on hood.roof/trunk/1500rpm/lc orange pad

FK1 wash

pwc on hood/trunk/roof

FK1 #2180 sealant.

FK1 tire shine

FK1 #415 on wheels/exhaust



Lighting was terrible so God knows what I did on the rotary.

Did u use pwc with a pc for removing holograms??

every where I've read, using a rotary with SSR series is NOT a good thing



i'd like to know your feeback as the finish is quite impressive ..

Tumbler - I used my new dewalt rotary with SSR2.5 and it worked great, I was highly impressed. My paint was already in good condition but for some light spider webing that I could never get out. I thought 2.5 would be pushing it as far as abrasiveness went but did it anyway (thanks in part to scubastevo's postings) and was very surprised. As the polish disappeared a very reflective paint was appearing.



I used the rotary with the sonus green pad and used 1,000 - 1,200 as the rpm settings. To get a little more mileage out of the polish on occassion i would give the pad a light misting of plain water. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of the SSR products with a rotary.
 
not trying tobash, but based on the lighting condition in the garage and being in the garage, it is very difficult/near impossible to tell if there are any rotary swirls.

I'd take one with or without rotary hologramming. The car looks good, hard to tell the difference but i'm sure it was in top shape after you, I know you got a thing for M3s :grinno:
 
What's with you and M3's all of a sudden?[/jealousy]



Looks good from what I can see. Ran into a similar situation this week, stuck in a parking garage so I'm not sure how good the pics will be. You do what you can, right? :)
 
Thanks guys - Normally I wouldn't post a "garage" picture but since it was an M3.....





Scottwax - Bobby with the carbon black M3 recommended me on the M3 forum.



Inside it sure loooked good. We will see if he calls me back and complains :nervous2: - I'll redo it then for free. Supposed to do his wife's Rover soon.



sQuashed - I've seen other ones around town - nice color indeed. THis one has gray interior and an all JL Audio system with 2 8" subs. Didn't get to hear it unfortunately.





JohnnyDaJackal - I'd take it as well. The paint looked pretty good, but felt very dry and had these weird scretch lines all over the horizontal areas. As soon as I got on the main road leaving this job, I saw a dark blue M3 at the light. The guy was driving it home from the stealership. Brand new.



BTW, this is going to be traded in for a white '06 M3 at the end of October.
