Recently got a foam gun, and am trying to finish up my "old" non mainstream shampoo.

I plan to use up my Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo before moving on to my Optimum and CWG shampoos.

correct me if im wrong, since Gold class shampoo is one ounce per gallon, im going to mix 8 oz plus 24 oz in the quart bottle.

What I'm wondering is if this shampoo , its strength and at this dilution , would it be too harsh on the lsp ? currently have a week old later of CG 5050.

oh, and i'll be using it on the C setting

i found that GC (excellent car wash) is a great bucket perfomer, but not really all that great with the foam gun...

I just recently got a Gilmour. The way I understand it, your dilution in the quart bottle is only good if your setting on the foam gun is 4 oz/1 gal. This means that for every 1 gallon of water that comes from the hose, 4 oz will be siphoned off the container.

Since Meg GC recommends 1 oz per 1 gal, then you need to cut/dilute that 4 oz coming from the container to 1:4, so that only 1 oz of Meg GC is siphoned out. Since there are 32 oz in the quart container, you need 8 oz of Meg GC in it (i.e. 1:4 = 8:32).

The total effect is that 1 oz per 1 gallon will hit your car, which is what Meg GC recommends. For any other setting on your foam gun, you need to adjust your dilution ratio in the quart container.

It follows that if you put less GC in the container, say 2 oz, then you only need 8 oz of water to dilute it and still maintain the same dilution ratio. 1:4 = 2:8.

Please anyone, correct me if I'm wrong. I am also trying to learn this.
