Another from Downunder!

For me, it depends on the day. Rammstein and White Zombie are fun around town. However, when I'm on road trips or exploring in the Jeep, I actually listen to a lot of jazz, acoustic, etc......

Prinz, you remind me of one of my friends from Mpls.

He is a DJ that introduced me to the original Chicago House DJs (Derrek May, Frankie Knuckles...). He also showed me the difference between Chicago House and Detroit Techno. Until then, I mostly considered house to the likes of Frankie Bones. I was a Jungle/DnB fan anyway. We did a class presentation on the History of Electronic music together at it was a blast.

For road trip driving music:

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing...

Honestly, I have been into that kind of music since the '70s. A lot of the "deep house" that's played in Chicago is the same old disco hits from back in the day.

Case in point.....

Dancer - Gino Soccio

System of a Down - Dreaming

System of a Down - Stealing Society

System of a Down - Vicinity of Obscenity

Certain parts of these songs are great for doing 100++ or tearing up the dragstrip.

This thread is making me feel very old.

In no particular order:

The Rolling Stones (60's and early 70's only)

Bob Seger

Meatloaf

Dio

Jethro Tull

Rainbow

Lynyrd Skynyrd

Guns N' Roses

Dido

...)

Don't worry, i'm 19 and I love to listen to classic rock while I drive. I love AC/DC and Van Halen the most. Journey is right up there. It just gets the blood pumpin'. The only thing missing is my V8 Camaro. I drive a Ford Escort and the 4 banger just doesn't fit with the classic rock.

Spirited Driving Music

"Du Hast"- Rammstein

"Step Up"- Drowning Pool

"Enter Sandman"- Metallica

"The Current"- Blue Man Group ft Gavin Rossdale

"Riot"- Three Days Grace

Cruising Music

"Soul Survivor"- Young Jeezy & Akon

"Superstar"- Lupe Fiasco

"Take Five"- Dave Brubeck Quartet

"Obsession Confession"- Slash

"What You Know About That?" by T.I. can either be used for cruising or commuting. However, "You Know What It Is" is good for cruising. :D

I listened to a blend on YouTube and tried it flying back from STL.

The blend consists of "Yo Yo Get Funky" by Fast Eddie and "Me The Mailman" by 6 Bells All.

I will put a link out shortly.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

Stone Temple Pilots - Creep, Big Empty, Interstate Love Song

Metallica - One, Fade to Black

AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long

:dance
