Kind of an odd combo, but i was kind of rushed and felt like experimenting a bit. I think the car turned out very nice.

I'm starting to reall hate VW paint. I've done mine plus a few others in the local club and swirlies are always a PITA to remove. Has anyone else noticed this with VWs?

I also have a passat a 2004 and I had swirls also. I thought it was something I did. So I got a waffle weave and a sheep skin mit. They are not as bad as they were I used DACP but next time I will try some SSR 2.5 and SSR1 and see if that helps.
 
The passat looks nice and wet. As to VW paint, I think some VW/Audi paint is very hard and difficult to remove defects from. VW/Audi paint also mars easily, making towel and product selection important. I would wash my Jetta as opposed to QDing and follow the wash with a QD, even though a QD'ing would have work, but I did not like the marring.

Defect removal depends on prior treatment of the vehicle and sometimes the PC is not powerful enough to remove the defects. Once perfect or near perfect proper care is recommend.
