Another Air Wand Thread (my review)

Yeah, IME all the forced-air drying methods leave some water behind, and if your water has stuff in it you'll get a film left on the panels anyhow (even soft water leaves traces of whatever the softener uses for the ion-exchange). But if you use *deionized* water you just might be able to get away with it...

Still, getting most of the water off before doing the regular drying can be a huge help and the AirWand is safer than a CWB.

it seems with the air wand it blows in a controlled wide sheeting action, where as a leaf blower blows around wildly. thanks again for the advice... :)

I remember seeing someone talking about a portable heated air drying system recently (very loud also), but I can't find the post.

Ring a bell with anyone?

There are some forced-air heaters that're used primarily to help dry out interiors. IIRC Top of the Line Auto Detailing Supplies has 'em.

I wouldn't want to use heat for drying the car/getting most of the water off as it'd probably leave more mineral/etc. deposits behind. I'd rather blow the water *off* than evaporate it.
