edit:

I have to retract my support for Z-16 until I hear back from Sal (email sent today) about a durability issue.

Has anyone else had their Z-16 wash away from tires and trim in one rain, and or run down the body panels from trimed plastic pieces (oily streaks)...even after it had been applied for 2 dry days?

(maybe a bad bottle?)

I'll update.

Any results from this?

2:1 in the wheel wells looks outstanding (did yesterday on my personal vehicle).

Give me a week or two to monitor mine and test it on engines and such.

Update:

I’ll be re-applying Z-16 this weekend to some of the areas that I experienced durability issues with.

Sal concluded a couple of points from our conversation that made sense.

The areas in which I had durability issues had previously and repetitively been dressed with silicon based dressing, although the areas were “clean prior to my application of Z-16 it’s very possible that trace amounts of silicon still existed in the pores of these pieces.

I went through my “normal wash routine prior to applying the Z-16, which would have been NXT soap over the body panels and trim pieces, and Westley’s Bleach White on the tires.

While I’d have to admit I gave a couple of extra squirts of Westley’s and a few extra brush strokes to the tires, the trim pieces were cleaned as normal.

I use to dress the tires and trim on both of my vehicles with silicon based products pretty heavily and on a weekly biases (hoping to saturate for longer lasting results).

The silicon may be lasting a littler longer than I want it to now.

Updates will follow.

PS

My concerns were emailed to Zaino at 11:30 pm Thursday night.

Sal’s email reply was in my inbox at 6:30 am the next morning, and this issue was being addressed by 9:30 am.

Going forward, weather I choose to use Z-16 or not….I thought that was some pretty decent customer service.
