an over due thank you!! :)

Do any of you use a deicer on your windshields during the winter?

What do these products have in them and will it strip Zaino from the paint ?My wife loves this stuff and would like to know if it will hurt all my hard work and leave me unprotected during the winter? Thanks.

Most of those ice melters contain alcohol that will definately strip the zaino, klasse or wax you have on the car. I would stick to the defroster.

Well I have a big thank you for this board and to Todd! I just wanted to thank everyone on herte for all of the great posts and whenever I ask for advice, you guys are nice and give truthful responses :clap:This is easily the nicest board I have ever posted on. :clap:Most places people are arseholes :out::(

Then my next thank you goes to Todd. When I first showed up on TID.com I sent him a pm just letting him know how great this place was. He responded and even sent me his # and told me to contact him if I ever had any issues when detailing. Ive never been to a web forum where that has happened! The other day at work I was doing a mid 90's Vette. It had horrible swirls in the paint, especially around the front and rear emblems. I was using Hi-Temp Super Sonic on a green waffle pad. Everytime I got around the emblems it would swirl more and just look terrible, I couldnt figure out how to make it look good. I took todd up on his offer and texted him. He told me to use m105 by hand. it worked!! When the owner came to get his car, he was shocked by the fact i was able to remove the swirls from around the emblems. He was super impressed and just loved my work :Dancing Dot::biggrin:

So thank you TID!! Every vehicle i work on that I have issues with I do a quick search from my blackberry to see if I can find any helpful techniques. 9 times out of 10 I do and my projects turn out great. I hope this website never goes away. Oh without this place I would have never found BFWD products either. When I first started i brought in BFWD wax and polish. The first car I did was a black 2009 Lexus LS 600H. I polished it with super sonic. Then went over it with bfwd polish and wax. It looked absolutely incredible. It still does everytime it comes in for a hand wash as well. The owner couldnt be happier.

I love this place!!!

Sorry for the BB pics but I always forget to bring in my real camera :( This newer range rover came in. Black in color, it was almost gray from all the swirls when it showed up :( The pics are from after I cut the whole thing and finished up with BFWD

Mikeyg402,

That is why this place has become my home as well. Eb=veryone here is great and always willing to lend a helping hand. When I first started posting on detailing forums, I started at another site, and the people there are just completely full of themselves. There are a lot of attitudes. I then found TID, and never looked back. None of that crap here. Just great people, and great posts.

I am glad you found TID, and the RR looks great.

Your welcome mikey, the ride looks great and we're glad your here on the best forum around. Everyone helps each other and everyone is a winner here!:wizard:
