An easy weekend: Toyota Tacoma Double Cab and Honda Oddsey details

LikeaRock

...Dreaming on an E92....
Did some side work for a couple neighbors this weekend, short of the 100+ degree temps. both were easy, relaxing weekend details

First up, an 05 Tacoma Double Cab equipped with the Sport Package. My neighbor commutes down to the East Bay during the week and his rig sees quite a few bugs so he wanted to get a really good coat on wax on the paint. I'm not sure what the name of the color is but it looks white as he!! when it's clean.
The truck was already washed when I started which made things even easier :D

Paint:
P&S Clay
P&S Ultracoat Wax via blue Edge Wave pad @ 1,000 RPM's
Ultracoat X1 by hand
Paint Gloss to remove smudges

Wheels/Tires/Wells:
P&S Wipe N Shine on tires
AA Origonal cut 1/1 in wells
Meguiars #20 on wheels

Next up, an 04 Honda Oddsey interior detail. For a family van this thing was in pretty good shape, mainly dirty from lack of attention. The carpets were probably the worst off on this rig

Simple Green 10:1 on all vinyl, rubber, and plastic surfaces
Woolite 10:1 and #0000 Steel Wool on seats
Resolve on carpets, Bissle LGM used for extraction
P&S Leather Treatment on seats
Meguiars Natural Shine to dress
IG on windows and to wipe down jams

Well it appears that you have the White truck glowing. Have never used the P&S line of products. In fact until recently had never heard of them. Others have spoke highlyof them.

Interiors are my bain. The family van looks nice after your work.

Very nice!

You're right, the Tacoma is 'blinding' white. I'd like to paint my garage walls and ceiling the same color!!

You find detailing a mini-van relaxing? You are a sick man!

I too was happy with the way the Tacoma turned out. It was the first vehicle I've buffed a whole coat of Ultracoat on and I was really happy with the result. I'll be stripping our HD in about 30 minutes and doing the same combo, I'm constantly messing around with that Victory Red trying to get the "pefect" shine.

John: Normally, a mini-van wouldn't be exciting, but this one was an exception, just some basic dirt and grime :)

Hey I didn't know you were neighbors with Jared!?! The Tacoma came out real nice.

As for the vans, I have done a handful of them and have mixed opinions. I like the amount of room they give me to work on the inside but then again overall they are a lot more work period. I worked on a Scion TC this weekend and being 6'3" it was like me detailing a circus car. Tight spaces aren't always what I like. Good details though
