I need Amonia free glass cleaner because of the tint on my inside windows. I still have not seen one. Is a cleaner considered amonia free if it doesnt say has amonia? Can any one suggest one that is widely sold (autozone, target something like that)? Thanks for the help

Stoner Invisible glass may be your best bet. It's widely availible.

After I'm done using my vinegar based glass cleaner I want to try Bon-Ami Glass and Surface cleaner

Hope this helps.

I've been using Stoner's Invisible Glass, Bon Ami Glass and Surface Cleaner and the Sprayway Glass cleaner from Costco. They all work pretty well without ammonia.

Juat make your own in a spray bottle. Get a gallon jug of distilled water, a bottle or two of clear isopropyl alcohol and optional is distilled white vinegar. Mix either 50/50 or 33/33/33 if using vinegar. It is the best glass cleaner made. Your own. Only takes a minute plus you have the distilled water for interior cleaning. Total cost per bottle is very cheap also.

I use the eagle One stuff. Whatever you do avoid the Armorall amonia free stuff...doesn't work good and smells digusting.

Has anyone used Plexus on tints? I just got mine in the mail and I was reading the pack. I think it said that it was good for windows tinting film. I'm not sure though...

I smelled Stoner's because I wasn't sure it had ammonia in it, but boy does it sure seem like it? It has a similar, yet fainter smell than Windex, which led me to believe it contained ammonia???

I used Eagle One 20/20, but its almost like water because the ammonia is what has the great cleaning power.

Eagle One 20/20 does not contain ammonia, nor does Turtle Wax Clear Vue, Sprayway, Mothers, Detailer's Pride, etc., etc....

Stoner doesn't appear to contain ammonia, but they do suggest you test it first, just to be safe (which is great advice for any product).

Also, there are other chemicals than ammonia that clean glass well. Vinegar does a good job, as do ether, acetone, alcohol, butoxyethanol, etc.

I thought I read on this site to spritz a little water on the glass and use a MF cloth.

I happen to have some window cleaner from Griot's Garage and used a MF cloth with great (and fast) results.

Yeah, it smells like windex, but the claims that I've seen say it doesn't contain ammonia. :nixweiss I haven't had a problem with it, so it works for me.
