My friend was offered $50,000 for this '67 GTO yesterday at the Raymore Festival Car Show (Kansas City Area).



He turned it down. The guy came back later and gave my friend his card (Arizona Collector). Told Danny that if he ever wants to sell for less than $75,000 he'll buy it and come pick it up.



That's a ten-thousand-dollar paint job with Zaino.

AMERICAN Muscle Cars do get a big buck. I've watched a few B/J auctions and was amazed with how much money the cars from "This side of the Pond" command.
 
The first car I owned was a 9 year 66 GTO. It was gold painted and had more motor than a teenager should have. It was always breaking down, nevertheless, I have fond memories of that car.
 
That Goat is simply stunning!



I love old musclecars. I wish I still had my 1971 Chevelle. :(



Back in 1981, I had a chance to buy a fully restored, all numbers matching 1970 Chevelle SS with the LS-6 454 with 4.11s and the M-22 "rockcrusher" close ratio 4 speed for only $4100! I was in college and just didn't have access to that kind of money. By the late 80's, an LS-6 Chevelle in that condition was getting an easy $50,000!
 
Everyone has a price, whether it is close to market value can only be justified by emotional attachment- I say good for him to not give in easily.:up
 
:bow :bow Sweet, sweet car! Your buddy is very fortunate. I have saved every issue of my Muscle Car Review magazines since my subscription started in 1989. I just love them!



(However, those Cragars have to go - in my most humblest of opinions! Get some original Goat wheels)



I'm excited, since my father is getting a new car, he offered me his old car. When my current car goes off its lease, I will take out a loan, and buy a frame off restored 73 Vette w/ T-Tops. Instead of leasing a new car, I would drive my father's old car and use the money I would normally spend on a monthly lease payment to pay off the loan over 4 years.

The 70 SS LS6 is my most all time favorite, favorite, FAVORITE ride. I have pics as my desktop wall paper on my computers at work as well as posters hanging up at my desk.
 
My all time favorite muscle car has to be the '70 Mustang BOSS 302. When I was 16 I found one locally for $6,000. It was Gold and in very good condition. I only had $4,000 and couldn't talk my dad into loaning me the difference. It has taken me 24 years to finally get my hands on a Mustang :) It isn't a BOSS but, it makes me happy every time I press the go pedal :xyxthumbs
