Amelia Island Preview

Hooked For Life
The Amelia Island is essentially the East Coast's answer to Pebble Beach. It's true automotive nirvana from the moment you reach the grounds of the Ritz Carlton, where brand new ultra luxury and sports cars are parked--some you can even sit it!

Once you have your ticket validated and you check in, instantly, as far as the eye can see are one-of-a-kind, super rare cars ranging from the antique brass era to Duesenbergs to cars of the '50s to real Shelbys. There's something for everyone.Of course, each is detailed to the nines. :)

I've been able to attend every year now for the past several and I plan to go again on Sunday. Here are some photos of what the cars are like there. The crowd keeps on growing every year too. I understand last year had 13,000 attendees!

Next week I'll post plenty of pics from this years event. Stay tuned.

Nice Bill! Thanks for sharing. This is one of the most amazing shows on the planet. All the big players step up for this one.

Thanks David! I can't wait till Sunday. Maybe Chasing Classic Cars or another similar show will be taping there again and I'll try to get in the background. I've seen some car celebrities there in past years. I met Barry Meguiar and spotted Chip Foose and Wayne Carini. This is show is always exciting!

Yeah, probably one of the only "car shows" where there will be more swirl free cars then ones with swirls. Everyone tries to be on thier A game for that one.

I wish that were true for Meadowbrook! The messes I've seen there are almost enough to cry over :(

Speaking of which that looks like the same Cadillac display they set up here at St. John's last year.

I just got back home and this year's show was fantastic as expected. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to share the videos I took because they saved as avi files on my camera and when I downloaded them to my computer, I can't play them. It's a real shame, but I do have some photos. If I can get access to another computer that doesnt give me the playability issues, I'll try to download them online so I can include them here. As of now, I doubt I'll be able to post the videos :( Any way, stayed tuned for a write-up
