The Amelia Island is essentially the East Coast's answer to Pebble Beach. It's true automotive nirvana from the moment you reach the grounds of the Ritz Carlton, where brand new ultra luxury and sports cars are parked--some you can even sit it!
Once you have your ticket validated and you check in, instantly, as far as the eye can see are one-of-a-kind, super rare cars ranging from the antique brass era to Duesenbergs to cars of the '50s to real Shelbys. There's something for everyone.Of course, each is detailed to the nines.
I've been able to attend every year now for the past several and I plan to go again on Sunday. Here are some photos of what the cars are like there. The crowd keeps on growing every year too. I understand last year had 13,000 attendees!
Next week I'll post plenty of pics from this years event. Stay tuned.
