These are the pics of the 3000GT VR4 mentioned in the other post covering the 350Z (See here) The pictures really dont do the work me and corey put into the car justice. We spent 12 hours in the direct sun polishing out the heavily oxidized swirled, stained, scratched and just neglected finish. The owner wanted it restored to a show car. I personally spent 6 hours on the hood and front fenders making sure the touch-ups were 120%. Corey did the interior, polished out the rest of the car, and glazed it. Finally the owners brother, the owner and corey all pitched in to finish off the wax step so we could go get the 350Z ready for the same show. This car really was a highlight i think for both me and corey, knowing the condition that it was in, and then turning it around in one day, and winning an award of excellence at the show!! Enjoy the transformation:
Swirling before polishing:
The hood before (there were about 100-150 rock chips)
The hood with chips filled in and alot of sanding marks still visible (look close):
Me polishing the hood (I look stupid in this picture
)
Hood Half polished:
This is the best shot i have of it after, the one that is direct on is a little out of focus, and you cant see the depth and quality:
This is the car at the show, the day after we finished the detail work!
