Am I wrong?

Great argument:up

The thread in question seems to have died now. I believe the author of these statements has had time to cool off from my vicious, hate filled, name calling attack!:argue

Personally I still believe he truly believes in this product, which is fine, but that he is also highly misinformed and/or mislead.

I believe it was brought up also that if he has only been applying this product for a few years then how does he know it lasts 10 years?

Well my best to the guy and his efforts.

16 years great!!! Now I can clean off that shelf of useless cleaners, polishes, waxes, etc.. Now we just need a 16 year gauranteed wash.......:bounce . I did find something ahile back that would probably do both as well. It was an inflatable one car garage bubble, put your car in, inflate and seal. Now ya'll would be out of a job and a hobby:shocked

That would be great....but the better part would be if you could drive the car while in the bubble garage........it's the "Bubble car"!

lol

Anthony, arguing with guys that have the "dealer mentality" is a complete and utter waste of your time. They are right and must be incredible detailers otherwise they wouldn't have been kept around at the dealership for so long. Also, he probably gets many kudos from the Used Car Manager for getting all those "details" done in a couple of hours rather than having to send the cars out to a real detailer. I had a discussion at length with the guy at my GM dealer and he swore up and down that shampooing interiors with a shop vac only was a far better way of doing things than using a hot water extractor. Even after I showed him how much soap he was leaving behind in the fabric his repsonse was "no one can see that anyway".

The bottom line is WHY waste your time?People believe what they want to believe and NOBODY is going to change there mind.Step back have a laugh and move on,next year there will be someone telling you that they have a 15 year wax and wanting you to believe that

Then maybe we can open a carwash that does a 10 year sealant with a 16 year car wash and a 15 year wax. Make it a drive thru and wa laaaaa ...perfection:bow

By the way my cars/trucks are 28, 17, 16, 15, 13, 7 and 2 years old

That would be a REALLY lengthy bet! seeing that they last 10+ and 16 years :D

Ask him for his referral list. If something lasts that long, i'm sure someone has made a STINK about "that's the Sh*t, where can i get some".

something smells

If you can sell someone on this lasting 10 years then you should be able to sell beach front property in Montana

Anthony

Ever the more reason to get his referal list....ever think about getting your real estate license Anthony :D

There are sealants that last a long time, mainly the ones that react to paint. They will be present for long times, even ten years and longer, but they will not be functional on the surface anymore. I'd say the best technology that auto dealers have will protect for a year, with waining protection towards the end. My friends tahoe has some stuff on it that sheets after a year. Anyhow, why would some want this or take a chance on it. News flash, detailing is fun, gets you away from wife! Also I think the polymer/acrylic popular sealants are slicker and wetter and better looking. but there are other options these days for june cleavers out there, just don't use them if your a highlife man.
